We’ve got more IU fans at an away game in LA than we have had the last two games at home. Our students need to wake up. If you want a dope football program you need a great game day enviroment.
Another example of everything historically wrong with IU. I was punished for this photo. Literally was made an example of in front of the team. This is one of IU's most viral moments and it was shamed. Recruit or die. Coaches hated it Fred Glass loved it.
This should be the foundation for the future of IUs uniform lineup. Needs an all red package, all white package, and an all CREAM package. No black accents at all. Add chrome dome for a change up. Standard pitchfork for red/white. Vintage pitchfork for cream.
Just a start.
Love this. Cursive Indiana + Pitchfork are the only acceptable logos. The Allen-era uniforms were disgusting. Go back to KWilson unis but update and amplify. Chrome domes were great and came from a winning era. White should become a true cream.
I'm sorry to inform the old-timers but this branding is the best way to drive recruits AWAY from IU. The NCAA is Hollywood today. We need a sexy brand. This ain't it.
People outside of the IU arena don't understand how much NFL-caliber talent IU was able to capture in the years between 2012-2017. This is why we went toe to toe with OSU, UM, and MSU year after year. This is why we didn't lose a bucket. This is why we were a prolific offense.
Tre was terrific in this one.

🔟 years ago, Tre Roberson tied the Indiana single-game record for TD passes (6) in a rivalry win over Purdue. 💥

I love you guys at the CQ but I can't communicate how wrong you are about this. This logo signifies an era but it is objectively ugly. It looks like it was made on Microsoft Word. This will make recruits walk away. Please hear me.
Welcome and congratulations. You’re officially a member of one of the most powerful and influential groups of alumni in the country. You’ll also be spending your days walking the most beautiful campus in America.
So yeah, beat FIU and Western Illinois and you get to 2-0. UCLA, maybe you keep it close in the Rose Bowl, then you get two more home games, could be 4-1 heading to Evanston, got Nebraska still rebuilding, hmm 6-1 when Washington rolls into town? No I'm not crazy
When I say "everything wrong with IU" I am simply voicing my frustrations with the historically obvious. I fully believe in this program, brand, and university. We need the right vision followed by unwavering execution.
IU fun fact. Camion Patrick is the most talented football player to ever put on an IU uniform and not a single fan knows who he was. Ask my teammates if you don't believe me.
@key13williams
Plz take it from me KeShawn…becoming a Hoosier will change your life. I sit with presidents of banks and 9 figure VC guys on a monthly basis all because I had the honor of playing football at IU. You will meet alumni everywhere and in every industry in America.
@zanderdiamont
Great to see you around again! Indiana’s current contract with adidas is set to expire next summer, any incites from your perspective, as to the importance of that decision?

To those who don’t know, the strength coach is the heart and soul of the coaching staff. They are the closest link to the players. This role is as important as the OC. Maybe more… Mark Hill was an amazing strength coach.
Indiana spent $710,000 on its strength coach in 2023 (7th-most nationally) and did so each year since 2020.
Derek Owings made $149,000 at JMU last season.

Honest take. I love the concept. The flag is beautiful. With that being said, the side of the helmet was never the right application. Doesn't sit well on the helmet due to scale. Would be great on a shoulder or a side of chest patch.
@zanderdiamont
Do you believe that Tom Allen may have whispered some things in Fred Glass’ ear that might have started the storm that got Kevin Wilson fired?
I love all of this minus the press box and suites. Take that money and use it to recruit. Have the best player meals in all of college football. etc etc etc.
BUILD A VISION FOR THE FUTURE.

It's everything. We need to sell the IU experience. We are blessed with an extremely sellable university and brand. Some younger minds in the building might be of value. I would love to consult.
@zanderdiamont
It looks like the university is doing their part by investing in football and NIL money. You're right, player retention and recruiting will be key to his success.
I want nothing more than a consulting role. I am running my own business and am in no way qualified to be on the coaching staff or other suggestions made on X. With love!
@zanderdiamont
Was great getting to chat with you. Appreciate you being honest. Looking forward to the pre-game tailgate at the UCLA game that I'm going to force to you host! ;)
@JayRFifteen
When you weigh 160lbs in the B1G you have to. Fun fact. My first start I weighed 158lbs. The announcers were talking about how light I was at 175lbs haha. If I was 175lbs I would have been all B1G.
Let’s be clear… there is not a single college football program that is not attempting to steal signs during a game. This is part of the gamesmanship of large scale football. It’s literally part of the game. Like a lieutenant trying to hack the radios of a foreign enemy. PT.1
@bobmorgan64
You are everything special about the IU fanbase. Unwavering even when it's been bad. Imagine what we can do with an electrifying program. We have had glimpses and Wilson built a national football brand.
@zanderdiamont
Were you ever given a reason for why you didn't appear in the second half of the Foster Farms Bowl you had that awesome TD to Westbrook at the end of the first half and never saw the field again
@ElBonko
I can't even describe the raw athleticism and power. I am not being hyperbolic. I was around T Coleman, J Howard, Latimer, Sudfeld. None had Patrick's combination of talent and skillset. Pure god given.
Please don't underestimate the stupidity of executives looking at X taking this shit seriously. These guys need guidance from a younger generation. Brand is everything and we are fighting a historical perception.
I don't know much about Coach Cignetti but his record speaks for itself. On the surface this guy is a proven winner. Good hire for IUFB. With that being said, a track record of winning is not enough in today's NCAA...
you need a track record of RECRUITING.
I pray coach gets it!
Source confirms to IndyStar that Indiana is finalizing a deal with James Madison coach Curt Cignetti to be the Hoosiers' next head football coach.
@PeteThamel
had it first, I believe.

@EMcCartney1993
If you were in a place where family or friends were present, you could have them come to the hotel for a limited period of time the day before a game. Once, before playing PSU, we hung out with their cheerleaders the night before our game at our hotel.
Summer runs/lifts under Mark Hill was the absolute most intense conditioning I’ve ever done. Every day we were pushed to the brink. Took my mind places it’s never been. Such a great experience. Spring Ball “stations” were also incredibly intense, threw up every day for 2 weeks.
@RLBobbyB
I could have transferred and didn’t. I would have made some money. Instead I flew private with some boosters and showed up to Kilroy’s in a limousine. What a life I lived in Bloomington.
@careyyork
We need a vision. Attainable goals. Money. Action plan. The same formula for building a successful company. As a head coach, I would have a special forces operative on my staff in charge of team building, communication, and discipline.
@EMcCartney1993
Absolutely not. Typically we fly in on a charter Boeing - team and staff only. Land with a police escort to hotel. Walkthrough immediately upon getting off bus. Meetings + prehab + chill followed by team dinner and a pre bed QB meeting. Bed check performed by staff.
@indiana_edits
@Rygi13
They do but I must admit it feels a bit forced for IU and it also feels a little 2014. I think we need a more creative alternate that truly connects to our history.
