Yes. Islam is the religion of the federation but it doesn’t make Malaysia an Islamic country. Calling MY an Islamic state would mean rejecting Sarawak and the Federation of Msia since Sarawak has no official religion. The Mahkamah Sivil is also superior than Mahkamah Shariah.
