I suspect @perplexity_ai and @GoogleBard will take over ChatGPT in DAU unless ChatGPT offers fast retrieval as well (as opposed to slow bing browsing). Having access to real-time information is so valuable and we want it fast. Only perplexity and bard offer RAG on the web.

the key difference between knowledge and expertise. knowledge can be written down on a piece of paper or encoded as prompt. but expertise is situational. it requires practice. the 10,000 hour rule. that’s why you need fine tuning for top tier models.

Some nice work by many @GoogleAI and @DeepMind researchers to assess the quality of answers to a variety of clinical QA datasets. In general, larger models+careful fine tuning on medical text performs better (many things to figure out before real use, but improving fast).

My model 3 got hit. insurance got me a model S rental. It appears to be a worse car in many ways: smaller wind shield, heavier handling, worse stereo audio, uses key fob instead of phone to unlock, ... #Tesla made their mass production cars better than their luxury cars 😂
