Why or what is Thundho? I am "Thundho" -"ތުންދޮ" Because Kokko ( @alaadidii ) accidentally called me that instead of Dhontha. I liked the name better and it got stuck. I like to think of it as an honorific rather than a name.

I actually got a request today from a smoker to make him a mask that had Velcro opening around his mouth so he can wear the mask while smoking. His exact words were “breastfeeding bra gothah cigarette boan hulhuvey gothah mask eh haadha dheebala”. 😆🤦🏾‍♀️

I like old people stories. old lady I met told me when she got married at 13 she was so pissed at her 14 yr old husband she mixed dhiyaahakuru and rihaakuru in his tea. when he drank it w/o a word she realised she can stay married to him. And till today he never complains

Today I met the teacher who helped me pass A'level chemistry. I went begging from one teacher to the other trying to get someone to help me some of it. I met her 2 week before my final exams. I never forgot her help. And she did it for free.

Met an amazing taxi driver today. We talked about "niyamikan". When I told him my interest in it, I was told his great grandmother was a malimee apparently who studied under her grandfather and used to help navigate when it was needed. Why do we not know about these women!!!

So.... #libaassabbees happened. This is a dhiguhedhun. Used as a casual dress, semi formal dress and as a formal dress. The fabric design, amount accessories u wear and glitter usually decides how formal it is. (I think that is)

Got a chance to explore another Dhivehi libas made with ranrihi kasab. This was also made during the mid 1900s (1950s?), by a lady named Sanfa from Lh. Hinnavaru ( same as the previous libas). She wove and braided the kasab for the neckline and stitched them on to the 1/4

Dr. Ahmed Shaheed is my aunt's doctor. He is the best doctor she has ever had. I am truly grateful that, she finally found a doctor who listens to ALL her concerns, continuously counsels and put up with her quirks without dismissing any. He has been a blessing to our family.

Finished a kasab bovalhu on a Kuda hedhun. This is not how a dhivehi libas looks like. So I call this dhivehi hedhumeh. Why? This dress lacks "kah" (gusset) and bovalhu lacks" koi" (slit on shoulder). Bovalhu follows the basic pattern though which makes it dhivehi.

I’ve been eating rihaakuru and bai and garudhiya and bai for last 6 days three times a day. Today was blessed with a potato for lunch. I felt like I was in heaven for a bit after breaking the routine. 😅

I barely see my mother even over the weekends. She lives at school. My friends at hospital don't just give up everything and leave when their 8 hrs are up either. Health care professionals and educators are so dedicated yet we don't appreciate their work that much.

Nurses are working 2 hours longer than most civil servants and when they are done with the shift they still have to wait for handover and other things. My mother comes home hours after her shift is over because of this reason. Pay them for the work they do! @presidencymv

Went for MRI appointment at @HMH_mv with aunt, who is claustrophobic. I ve to say, that was the most pleasant experience we have had. The rad tech was well informed, calm and allowed my aunt to settle in, instead of rushing. This made her less anxious and fidgety. Thank u.
