Today is the first Father’s Day without my Dad. I reflected on what the last two years looked like for us.
To the man who centered his life around my dream, thank you. I miss you, Dad.
Source: The Astros are signing shortstop German Ramirez to a $1.2 million signing bonus Sunday, when the next international signing period opens.
The 16-year-old Dominican standout was admired by scouts for his quick bat speed and athletic build, according to Baseball America.
One of the Red Sox fans passed this on to me about his encounter with Jose Altuve:
“When we met Jose (Altuve), he was a great dude,” the young fan said. “He told us that life may not always be great, but just be nice.”
My friend and his friends, who were at the game, chirped at Altuve right before his homer.
He handed them his bat after as they were sitting near the Astros dugout, and ended up with a signed bat and a pic with him after the game.
Adding Vázquez likely hints to the end of Jason Castro’s second stint with the Astros. More was supposed to be reported on his injury while he even mentioned retirement after 2022.
His last hit was a go-ahead, two-run homer against the Mets on June 29.

In Port St. Lucie for Mets spring training this year, fans were giving their worst to Jose Altuve. That didn’t stop him from throwing baseballs into the crowd to young Mets fans. He’s always been a stand up individual.
My friend and his friends, who were at the game, chirped at Altuve right before his homer.
He handed them his bat after as they were sitting near the Astros dugout, and ended up with a signed bat and a pic with him after the game.

I’m wearing my Siri jersey today, and someone just asked me, “any trash cans coming out today?” as I was getting the mail.
I responded like any normal human being with “yeah your mom.” He walked away on his toes and wore his hoodie around his waist. I wasn’t taking that from him

I’ve spent countless nights here the past four years, attempting to capture the stories of the true grinders in this sport.
Tonight might be my last for some time. I’m not done with baseball, but there’s someone waiting for me. Until then, thank you.
I'm excited to announce I've joined MLB Pipeline and as an editorial/social producer.
Thank you to everyone who has followed and supported my work over the last four years.
