I just listened to @mahbubani_k 's most excellent talk at the @fcchk from just last week. He had no issues coming into Hong Kong. No visa denial, no drama. He is a serious academic. Author. Diplomat. Hundreds of thousands of other foreigners coming into Hong Kong had no issues
