I was talking to my wife and mentioned that one guy had 4.4Cr loss today on cap of 11.5Cr. She said aisa mat karna kabhi, agar karna hai toh kal se hi trading band kar do. Itni percentage capital agar ek din main udd gayi toh stroke hi aa jayega.

In month of March, one of my friend lost 1.5L+ in ICICI direct due to broker issue as their API went down from their end. ICICI refunded all amount on raising issue within 2 days to many traders who use their APIs. That’s the difference between full broker & discount brokers.

920 straddle is one of the best examples of fooled by randomness. The backtest data doesn’t ensure that strat will be profitable in future; last 5 years data works in favour of it and doesn’t mean that it will remain in favour for next 10 years. #tradingthoughts
