people aren’t coming to the united states because it’s a “great place” to live. migration patterns aren’t natural nor are they motivated by mass agency, they are primarily coercive and occur because western imperialism has systemically destroyed the global south.

men don’t have an innate biological drive to sexually exploit or harm women, when we argue this, we naturalize women’s oppression under class society and patriarchy through a pseudofeminist gendered essentialism that claims patriarchal violence is the natural order of the world.

this is antithetical to any serious movement carving out a path of liberation for oppressed and colonized women. framing ‘men’ as natural predators ignores how patriarchy is not a biological phenomenon but, rather a system with a grounded political, economic and social history.

Let's talk about contraceptive sponges! Sex workers in French North Africa in the 1930s used small sponges called "mignonettes" as a contraceptive. They'd put it at the top of the vaginas, just outside the cervix, and wash it between clients, probably with disinfectant. It worked

being anti-porn is a fundamental pillar of revolutionary marxism because it opposes the commodification of oppressed people’s, especially women’s, bodies. there is no women’s liberation without an opposition to the capitalist production of pornography and the industry itself.

this is not a thing irl. most women i know have been stuck in abusive and toxic relationships with men for years but, either refuse to break up with them due to patriarchal social conditioning, or stay in them because of financial and housing insecurity. stop making things up.

are you embracing your sexuality or are you embracing being sexualized?

europeans think the apex of defeating global climate catastrophe means not consuming meat because this absolves them from the responsibility of understanding how western imperialism, and their overconsumption as a result of it, has everything to do with the planet dying.

if communist men aren’t willing to deal with the woman question, and quash all manifestations of patriarchy and misogyny in organizing spaces, then they are shrill chauvinists who’d rather reap the social benefits of male supremacy instead of supporting women’s liberation.

hot take but, also very serious, the modeling industry and pageantry shows will not exist under communism. 😤

you are a white “sex worker” in the west who romanticizes sexual exploitation, your voice is made infallible and is the most valuable to bourgeois sex industry profiteers. you espouse a liberal analysis that ignores the the global imposition of patriarchy and imperialism, stop.

i just watched john oliver’s special about “sex work” & it was single-handedly one of the worst pieces of media i’ve consumed in my life. does it not concern anyone that a man who has a salary of $8 million is advocating for the expansion of an industry built on sexual violence?

the idea that “good war” exists is an imperialist mythology espoused by the US empire to rationalize its global atrocities particularly against the poor & colonized of the third world. good war can’t be waged by a colony built on the extermination of oppressed africans & natives.

“listen to sex workers” 1) is a political line that leverages personal experience over class reality and 2) serves a political agenda that is aligned with the interests of bourgeois sex industry profiteers, the same cohort of people who benefit from prostitutes’ exploitation.
