Uzumaki ep 3 was actually ok during the hospital segment. The pacing still goes to shit afterwards, but the jank in the visuals wasn’t as broken this time (mainly some eye tracking that were off a frame). Nowhere near the quality of Ep 1, but so far we got half a decent ep.

So uhhhh... The First Slam Dunk actually lived up to the hype? The switch to CG really led to this being the first sports anime I've seen accurately portray the intensity of a real sports match. And it was definitely intentional, because a surprising amount of it is 2D too.
