@sabakarimm “Be kind, stay well to fight the long game.” I was always maxed out on stress level with $30k salary in SF - no investor forced me to. I just thought it was the glorious hustle that I just had to take. When runway is low though, ofc, I’m the first to cut my pay as the ceo.

@justingordon212 When I was a first-time founder, I paid myself $30k a year living in SF. Not worth it - no relevant investor is impressed by scrappiness alone. Better for founders to pay themselves enough to stay focused at their very best condition. Even then, it’s an uphill battle.

there are no original ideas in this world. i remember reading about a founder who was bitter about how BeReal copied his idea - my first startup one minute predates his idea by years, and i wish BeReal all the best. ideas belong to nature. let it flow.
