when people in my classes say they’re sick with “not covid” and sniffle/cough around me, i obviously still wince and freak out, but i don’t leave it there!!! I say i’m sorry they’re sick, i tell them how tests are unreliable and i give them an n95 if they have no mask/surgical

i just wish that i could help everyone i care about on here in real life. i wish i could make you dinner & go with you to the doctor to advocate and help you move and celebrate your birthdays and just exist alongside you instead of only being able to send love via an online reply

in the last few months it’s REALLY hit me how so many people’s (including me sometimes and i have to unlearn!) sense of identity and joy and their perception of what makes life worth living is just: consumerism/materialism!!
