Once you get to a certain level, there seems to be no financial accountability for absurdly-poor creative decisions, and I think that's what frustrates me the most about these Disney remakes. They cast a non-singer to play Belle, and the movie made almost 5x it's budget.

His original look is pretty dated and weirdly lingerieish. His modern looks tend to make him look like a robot with 3/4ths of a face grafted on. His Doom Patrol look is decent, but dull--it could just as easily be Metallo. Toon Titans clears.

It's weird that Peter Parker and Reed have switched personalities to the mainstream. In older comics, it's Reed who's usually the 'adorkable' nutty professor, while Peter is sometimes cold, distant, mean, et al. Reed being a supervillain and Peter being a woobie is so recent.

There actually is an answer to this - Elvis went to a theater near Graceland he would rent out on August 12 in the hopes of seeing Star Wars, but the theater did not have a print. He saw The Spy Who Loved Me instead and died four days later.

Why do people keep remaking anime into live-action? Why not try remaking it into Western animation? A Cowboy Bebop remake styled like a Don Bluth movie might be an unholy abomination before God... but it'd probably be an *interesting* abomination.

I don't want to do the "why do you care bro?" thing, but Toon Titans wasn't really trying for accuracy. They were turning peeps into Mexican wrestlers! What I mind is that when Young Justice came around and actually tried to be a faithful adaptation, they went even more afield.

I don't know why Spider-Man is the go-to example for people going "they make too many movies about X, they should make movies about Charlie's Angels or some crap instead!" Guys, Jeffrey Dahmer is right there and he's had twenty movies made about him in like fifteen minutes.

It is way too late to be thinking about this, but I wish #Batman adaptations would quit taking villains with well-established, concise, cohesive motivations and turning them into well-intentioned extremists out to better Gotham City by being terrorists (Riddler, Ivy, f'n JOKER)

Crazy to think of Shrek as a franchise that's killing it, but they've got it: -Let a series rest sometimes. -Bring it back when there's a story worth telling. -Keep the characters recognizable, but let them grow and change. -Introduce new characters that add to the ensemble.
