I love it when I do something/make a suboptimal decision and then cringe about it. At least I'm aware of what to change and can reflect on what went wrong. It makes me wonder how often I do something suboptimal but just don't realize it. It's why I like failing :)

I think on average people are 80% efficient workers then they were 70 years ago. We live a bubble here on Twitter - have you seen the government or oil sectors? But because of technology we are able to keep insane growth rates even with PMs working 4 hour weeks.

Silence is powerful. I used to find it uncomfortable, but I've been experimenting a bit after watching some great speakers. Try to let silences drag on. Try to let the other person talk again before you talk. Try throwing in longer pauses in your own speech. Cool results

@HelveticFreedom @nootropicguy Dopamine fasts and diets. I fast every couple of months - 24 hrs of nothing but thoughts (no food, no talking to people, no devices) to reset my baseline. I avoid sugar, minimize phone usage, and keep it on black and white when I do use it. Insane focus and mental clarity.

Asking questions is an art. Every time you ask a question, you are looking for some outcome (knowledge, leaving an impression, etc). I test my questions by asking myself, "What is the best case response?" It helps me flesh out the question, and ensure it makes sense.

When prompting ChatGPT - use the code block ``` to add context to messages you send. ex ```context (put a file name you referenced, the lang, or just a word like 'context' or 'info') {context here} ``` I've gotten much better responses this way especially while debugging
