It's funny how creating questions on

for the past six months has arguably been the best investment of my time and one of the most educational experiences of my life. I remember the first market I created, where I asked, "Can DALL·E consistently generate images

I wonder why he still did not comment on current events

and asked it to delete all json files in a specific folder. It deleted ALL JSON FILES from my laptop 😅.
@heynibras
there is one exception - when you are spending the whole day with a group of friends for example at the beach then it is normal to have periods where everyone just shuts off for a bit and spend time on their phones

Phenomenon: The nature of dark matter.
Thought: To solve this problem, I need to identify the current theories on dark matter and then proceed with synthesizing new ideas from the entirety of human-generated knowledge.
Act: Research dark matter on Wikipedia.
Observation: After

Alternative Prompt:
What is an example of a phenomenon that remains unexplained by humanity as a whole, but could be elucidated by synthesizing the entirety of human-generated knowledge? Please provide an original explanation using the ReAct technique, as outlined in a research

I have been saying this for a while now. They will offer offline + private LLMs that utilize our data (images, notes, messages, etc.) and absolutely crush everyone
Partnering with OpenAI doesn't give
@Microsoft
as big of an edge as some may think. For me,
@Apple
is best positioned for success. Imagine Siri being able to converse like chatGPT while also drafting and sending emails, scheduling meetings, and purchasing stuff.
@OpenInterpreter
Just to be fair to the creators of this cool project, I could have been more careful by closely inspecting the suggesting command a bit more in detail or made sure the AI actually understood my prompt by asking it to repeat it.
I did neither, so🤷🏻♂️

I love how he keeps repeating that requirements are just recommendations and that his team should always question everything.
Just saying the legal department or nasa said so doesn’t work for him. You have to specify the exact name of the person who issued the requirement.
@t3dotgg
GCP is one of the most complicated products I have ever used. They offer the same products with different names and it becomes confusing so fast. BUTT once you figure it out it is actually a decent platform with very cheap scalable backend and frontend solutions.

Problem: Why do humans experience the "uncanny valley" effect?
The uncanny valley is a psychological phenomenon where human observers experience a sense of unease, discomfort, or revulsion when observing an artificial being, such as a robot or an animated character, that closely

are you actually sure about this? because the way i remember it from Elon’s book is that both X and Paypal were competing aggresively which led them to combine forces since otherwise both would have died - how can two companies in seperate domains compete aggresively?
@TenreiroDaniel
i would not but i think a more interesting question would be if you would accept 2-3 inches of height knowing there is a 1 in 10 chance of you dying immediately.
@aidanshandle
I think the difference is that it searches the web and then gives you an answer based on the results. I don’t think it is GPT-4. It is just ChatGPT on steroids.

@natfriedman
This is on par with Apple's App Store genius. OpenAI benefits the most, but plugin builders do the heavy lifting. Once critical mass is hit, apps won't have a choice but to join in.
@WalterIsaacson
I wish everyone who criticizes
@elonmusk
would honestly ask themselves:
1. What have I actually done to make the world a better place?
2. How many people’s lives have I impacted, for better or worse?
"Siri, please find a suitable digital keyboard for me that has good reviews, is below 150 EUR, and I won't need to replace it in the first couple of years."
Let's say I want to get an LLM to write stories in the style of Author X. How can I go about that?
My first approach was to fine-tune a 3.5 GPT Turbo model using a training dataset made of the stories by the author formatted as shown in the image.
This did not work out and

Are you sure that this is indeed what 10% of researchers believe? Their view is surely more nuanced than "It is okay for AI to kill all humans".

Instead of going to Admin, choosing Settings, clicking on People, choosing Alex, going to the Roles section, selecting Owner from a dropdown, and clicking Save, the user will simply enter “make Alex an owner” and confirm her choice. This is a very simple

OpenAI is only made of humans. Many insiders already left and started their own companies. Apple will hire someone or buy someone who knows how this stuff works. 1-2 years max until this is not a differentiating factor anymore imo

Having the option to set a soft and hard limit seems an obvious solution here that is implemented in every product I use. What/Where is the complexity?
@ylecun
I think a fair comparison would be doctors using GPT-4 vs doctors not using it. I am confident human + AI will perform better than human or ai only.
Since you can just ask ChatGPT to give you back the system message, and it kindly complies, I went ahead and asked it for all system messages of the newly released custom GPTs
@Aella_Girl
genuine question: why bother doing all of this instead of not having casual sex if it is something that you are “programmed” to feel bad about?
