I just want to note that I got Covid on Bainbridge Island on March 7, 2020. My cancer diagnosis was five years in the past. There was no such thing as Paxlovid. Today is 3 years 132 days from the onset of long Covid. I’m lucky to have enough energy to get to the bathroom.

@PachecoHitstick @whoismjgeorge Precisely the opposite. I enjoy not having to look over my shoulder to see if I’m pure enough, good enough, or rich enough to belong to a community. I’m happy to do my homework to be part of a beloved community.

Even in 1971, my abortion was utterly non-traumatic. I thought about it a lot over the years because of the context we live in, and every time I have interrogated my experience all I find is peace.

I was relieved after my abortions. My abortions were not traumatic. Abortion is a medical procedure that is safer than giving birth. When abortion is “illegal” it is traumatic. I know what it is like to have an "illegal" abortion.
