The Wim Hof method is a very slight variation of the yogic breathing technique called "bhastrika kumbhaka." Bhastrika is "bellows breath" that mimics the in and out of a forge's bellows. Kumbhaka means breath retention. Wim learned the method from Indian yogis in the 1980s
