RRR might be the finest propaganda film I've ever seen.
The Vande Mataram flag literally save's Bheem's life.
The movie ends with Rama and Bheem routing the British.
Bravo.
The Internet Archive only has two of my books (and one translation) available online. Right now my puvliusher is suing the

But my publisher-owned by Rupert Murdoch--didn't ask me. I'm all for my books being available through them.
Did you know that the Internet Archive has a physical archive that houses millions of books (as in: actual, physical, paper books)? For every book that we lend to users online, we have a physical copy that is preserved in our archive. A 🧵
The Wim Hof method is a very slight variation of the yogic breathing technique called "bhastrika kumbhaka."
Bhastrika is "bellows breath" that mimics the in and out of a forge's bellows.
Kumbhaka means breath retention.
Wim learned the method from Indian yogis in the 1980s
This is the hardest story I've ever worked on. Threats, harassment and near constant attacks because I've exposed 13 deaths associated with the Wim Hof Method, his near-fatal enema and the $67M lawsuit that's in the LA courts.

@internetarchive
- feel free to pick up a copy of my book "The Wedge" I hold the copyright free and clear and promise not to sue.
(Also add "The Vortex" and "What Doesn't Kill Us" which are from mainstream publishers and I'll speak up in your defense.)
Some people have noticed that my podcast sounds a LOT like

Tomorrow's show on Santa Anna is going to be wild. This one is, too
Thirteen deaths; a $67 million lawsuit; lies, cover-ups and a near-fatal enema.
"The Rise and Fall of the Wim Hof Empire" is now live on Scott Carney investigates on Spotify.
Andrew Huberman hired a very expensive crisis PR team named Scale Strategy to manage the fallout of the New York Magazine piece. They are busily seeding information to conservative media outlets and aim to spin the story to discredit the women.
So who is Scale Strategy?
@Silversalty
@fightfortheftr

Yes, similar. And it was a completely stupid decision. There are tons of older books that no one buys ever and their authors (live or dead) would rather have readers than a few dollars.

When I was in graduate school in anthropology we talked a lot about the distinction between sex and gender.
But the line of interrogation in this piece pushes gender into biology and equates transgenderism with hempahroditeism. Those are not the same thing.
Wim Hof doesn't own his name.
Doesn't have a stake in the business
Doesn't have access to his social media accounts
And a whole lot of instructors are about to quit.
My investigation into the Wim Hof Business goes live on January 2 at 12 PM ET.
A surprising number of people have been writing to me saying that smallpox was going away on its own and the vaccine wasn’t really important for eradication. Also antibiotics aren’t so great either.
Who need reality when you have insanity?

Andrew Huberman hired a crisis PR firm named Scale Strategy to handle the story. They are tasked with spinning a story that Huberman's private life has no bearing on his science & that the women who came forward are on a vendetta. Classic playbook.
Corruption is legal in America.

A fascinating conversation with

Wim Hof and Innerfire have known about people drowning while practicing the method since at least 2015. From what I've been able to discern, they first put warnings on their site in 2017. Every time someone contacts them about issues, they attempt to cover up the story
Researching Yoga Nidra is a trip--even trying to understand when it was invented yields wildly different results.
Either it started in the Upanishads--so 5,000-ish years ago, or 300 CE, or the 1600's or in 1976 with Swami Satyananda Saraswati. No one can agree.

Embarrassing fact of the day: I got into

In other news: I'm an idiot.
This is the true story of climate change and war that you’ve been waiting for.
In 1970 the deadliest storm in human history set off a chain reaction of events that almost ended life on the planet.
Coming March 2022.
I'm going to be less online for a week. Going to keep my original plans to be in Costa Rica to write. Even if I don't get much done it will probably be the right move for my mental health.
Just think of all those helpless influencers out there who can’t do their influencing now that facebook is down. What are they going to do with themselves??

Holy freaking sh&t!!! I just asked ChatGPT to suggest alternate titles for a few of the different projects I've worked on over the last few years...and it knocked every single one out of the park.
The future is now.

He may not survive the night, but he will be remembered forever.
This is heroism.
If you're cremated after you die, you could be put into an hourglass and continue to participate in family game night.

I’d push this a bit further—there is no such thing as optimal anything in life. The drive for optimality is nothing more than a marketing trick designed to make you feel inadequate.
Best line:
"the more I think about this smart contract, the fewer reasons I can find for it to be a smart contract instead of just, you know, a contract."
This has been the hardest story I've ever put out. How do I talk about a method I love at the same time caution against seriously dangerous things that happen around it?

I wanted to see what the translation for "Yoga Nidra" was from Sanskrit and came across a lot of posts online that had pretty esoteric definitions (ie: "to draw forth a state of nothingness."
So I checked my Hindi dictionary.

Asking for a friend.
People ask me how I'm holding up through all of this.

Barely sleeping. Fighting for my reputation while unable to show my work.
I feel sad for the state of the Wim Hof method.

Maybe think twice about trusting Huberman...if not because of his terrible relationships with women, then for his terrible relationship with science.

Lemme get this straight. If a man walks into a school with an AR-15 and then someone tries to attack and disarm them, and the gunman then starts shooting people, then in court he can claim self-defense and maybe win?
How Wim Hof Lost his Method (again!)
I’ve updated the video about the Wim Hof Method for what I hope will be the last time. There have been some positive developments and hopefully I can start working on something else now.
In case you missed it all, in the last month the Supreme Court:
- Upheld capitol punishment even if you've been wrongfully convicted.
- Removed your Miranda rights on arrest
- Overturned Roe v Wade
- Allowed everyone in the USA to carry a gun.

Enahm Hof has issues copyright takedown notices on all of the videos that I have done on the Hof Method over the last few years. I'm considering legal options. But also open to speaking directly to Innerfire.
His claim is an effort to silence legitimate journalism.
Don't go there until you need to go there.
Too many people rush development and skip steps.
They try crazy workouts when an easy jog and some lifting is what they'll adapt to.
When we skip steps we waste free and easy ways to adapt to a stimulus.
The strangest things about the proliferation of mass shootings in America is that the vast majority of people who fight to keep access to firearms open are the same ones who most loudly proclaim their pro-life stances.

It's heartbreaking to see a hit-piece written about my friend Andrew Huberman (

I don't know who needs to hear this right now, but . . .
Never take a writing course on the internet from someone whose entire career is built around selling writing courses.
On the other hand, if this HAD worked, and sales spiked, I would be singing a different tune. So I'm still pretty happy I tried it out. Now you don't have to.
