@MarkBski At this point I'm not surprised our grandparents were such badasses. Imagine not having eaten a seed oil in your life. You're basically invulnerable.

The fear mongering about carbs is always from people who've had eating issues in the past. More than likely extremely overweight at some point and couldn't stop pounding down shit foods. They go low carb and as a result stop eating hyper-palatable shit foods which puts them

I am once again reminding you that mice fattened up on a Western Diet will rapidly normalize their weight on a high-fat, high-calorie, high-sugar diet if BCAAs or total protein are restricted.

CICO disproved in 2 graphs. From Keto mice ate just as much as "Western Diet" mice, yet lost a ton of weight. WD mice continued to gain weight. Hence either keto massively increased calories out, or CICO is nonsense. You decide. (ht @KetoCarnivore )

In many cases it’s better to increase your daily activity/energy expenditure (cardio & steps) & be able to eat more food than to just create a deficit by only eating less. Lift performance stay high, muscles keep more fullness, & mentally having more food just feels better.

Hello, Congratulations, you've been enrolled in a long-term RCT about the negative impacts of seed oils on humans. As part of the control group, you will start with a 7 year wash-out period. Please refrain from consuming PUFAs for the next 7 years. Thank you, The Management

The brain doesn't fight back against "weight loss." It fights back against starvation. Once you shed the CICO-colored glasses, you will see the difference. 75lbs down, 0 lean mass lost (DEXA), leptin fine, RMR fine (2,300-2,400 by CO2 calorimetry).

Can confirm. 90% of people who "don't eat seed oils" still eat a very high PUFA diet: pork, chicken, bacon (!), the occasional salad dressing in a restaurant, bread, pastries.. If you think it's "not a big deal" you're not really avoiding seed oils.

@exfatloss @Leo_Abstract I guess even on low carb, I was avoiding a lot of supermarket gare, but not fanatically avoiding seed oil. For me, it feels like being fanatical aboutit makes a giant difference to just casually avoiding it, although the effort of those two strategies is similar.
