Prediction: Post pandemic the needle of medical competency and training will have moved towards those who look only to profit off of healthcare. Many more doctors walk off jobs resulting in the deterioration and death of more patients due to a lack of excellence in care.

Trends towards physician employment, inability to enter private practice, and eventual loss of autonomy are directly related to the increase in debt load of graduating physicians and cost of medical education. Now couple this with a decrease in value of a Medical Doctorate.

A free-market system only works when the consumer knows the cost of actual goods and services. Our current healthcare system is a fake “free market” system. Transparency in healthcare is essential. Don’t advocate for an overhaul of the system without knowing what’s wrong with it.
