I HATE when I see the word “noncompliant” in a patient’s chart when no one has asked the patient why they’re having a hard time getting to appointments or filling their meds It really does them a disservice when we’re evaluating 🫀 transplant “candidacy” TALK TO THE PATIENT 🤦🏽‍♀️

A heart transplant recipient’s family said they were praying for the donor’s family so hard b/c they can’t imagine their loss & what they’re going through especially during the holidays. Forever grateful for the gift of life & the generosity of the donors & their families ❤️🙏🏽

Another check written. Another individual’s burden lightened just a little during their🫀transplant journey I receive every application, then I send it to my board to vote The BOD voted to grant them double what they requested😭 May we all meet people who lighten our burden🙏🏽

Had such an amazing time in DC this past weekend despite coming home sick 🥲 I’m putting this out in the universe… My dream job is to continue clinical work at @BrighamWomens , continue my other full-time job leading @TEHTP_INC , AND become a health policy advisor to @POTUS 🙏🏽💖

Best feeling ever is seeing heart transplant patients in street clothes and not recognizing them because the last time you saw them was a year ago when they were on death’s door. Best job ever ❤️🙏🏽

My patient’s wife took me to lunch today to say goodbye. He died 4/29/22 shortly after celebrating his 90th birthday. She said his last month alive was the best month of his life 😭🙏🏽🤍 Her advice to me: the memories are more important than the money. Just live life 💕

We raised $13,745 for heart transplant patients at our 1st official fundraiser for @TEHTPJ Extremely grateful to everyone who donated, attended & supported from afar I couldn’t have done this w/o my phenomenal leadership team & @DennisByrdII2 who orchestrated the entire thing

So touched by the incredible hospitality of The Nile Ritz. I told them Sir Magdi Yacoub was my hero and came to my room to this amazing surprise 😭😭😭 The custom cake, card, and how they’ve welcomed me back to Egypt 11 years later has been so overwhelming ❤️❤️❤️
