What if instead of a laser light show and a concert, we had a Reformed service of worship in which psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs are sung and the gospel of Jesus Christ is preached in all the Glory of His salvation?
I’m thankful for ruling elders. My son needed to have surgery this morning and one of my REs immediately offered to exhort and lead morning worship so I could be with him Overnight and during surgery.
Tennessee Valley Presbytery adopted this letter today encouraging

This is a very disappointing and poor decision. They have a great lineup of PCA elders and a professional church critic working for the

The

is being abused & bullied online for simply & faithfully articulating what is the standard, historic Christian position. Take note & learn from the clear and biblical principles he articulated on this point. Take note of those who bully those promoting the truth.
I was disturbed by some speeches at

Metro New York pby will be required to appear before the SJC to explain why a church in its bounds was permitted to deprive its congregation of preaching on a Lord’s Day. An overwhelming vote of General assembly in favor of this beautiful, loving, orthodox, pastoral reference.
Now is not the time to leave the PCA, dear brethren. Let us hold fast and joyfully participate in the church courts. If we are firm and bold now, I believe the trajectory of the PCA will be solidly on a course of beautiful, confessional integrity and faithful witness.
The legendary TE O. Palmer Robertson exhorts the
#pcaga
to faithfulness to the Scripture and to pursue the “holiness without which no one can see the Lord.”
Dabney went fishing with her grandfather Monday morning. She caught the biggest bass ever. At least 15lbs. She is now set up for a lifetime of disappointment while fishing. But a marvelously sweet memory.

This is not a good look for
@CovenantCollege
(admit rate 88%) to have one of your faculty criticizing
@Hillsdale
(admit rate 24%) and cynically implying it is not truly "Christian." Prof. Green is entitled to his opinion, but this article is quite cringe.
The PCA enters the next year both healthier and stronger as well as more clearly committed to the Reformed faith, the Scriptures, and the Great Commission for which we should give God thanks and praise.
In my experience, the people who are most urgent in warning about sin, exhorting us to press on in holiness and sanctification often do so because they have felt the ugliness of sin and seen its darkness most acutely and long for others to know the beauty of Freedom in Christ.
I love the PCA and have felt at home in the
#PCAGA
since I was first welcomed by Hillcrest Presbyterian Church in Volant, PA! It's a joy to be part of a connectional, confessional communion.
If any of you know of a Session by which abuse was covered up and not reported to the authorities and you have documentation, please reach out to me; I will help you bring 31-2 and 40-5 investigations via presbytery. Also: CALL THE POLICE.

prof and PCA treasure O. Palmer Robertson. While govt of Uganda may have misapplied the Gen. Equity of the OC Law in this case, yet we must be cautious in criticizing their law, which is clearly based on Divine revelation.

The invitation from the Stated Clerk and Host Cmte to
@DavidAFrench
to address the

(per
@PCAByFaith

Words have meaning. I'm grateful the
@CRCNA
has decided to hold people accountable for their words and to uphold the teaching of scripture in this area. Well done, brethren!
The majority recommendations of Committee 2B pass 129 to 54 with 3 abstaining. Synod declares churches, members, and office-bearers that have declared themselves to be in the status of protest shall be entered into the process of discipline.

10 years ago I was licensed to preach by Grace Presbytery PCA. Thanks to

TE Zach Byrd,

pastor and noted expert on southern expressions and mannerisms, urges us to maintain the requirement of belief in God in order to be an eligible witness in the church courts.
Defenders of
@pcamemorial
are trying to paint the

as bullies and meanypantses. But the reality is: the pca did not change. The leadership of that congregation simply started to innovate. And their innovations are not compatible with the PCA’s confessional commitments.

@PcaMemorial
The 1980 congregation fled the PCUSA liberalism and joined the PCA because it was conservative theologically.
The PCA didn't change, the congregation of Memorial Presbyterian changed.

In our present cultural moment, which is deeply confused and highly polarized, there is nothing more needed than voices that speak with Christian courage and biblical clarity.

The other presbyter contacted me to apologize for making contact and I have accepted his apology. I apologized for not noticing him at the mic. It was a blessing to have the chance to speak with him.
The PCUS had a chance in the early 30s to vote to remove the control of local church property from the presbyteries. How how different the next five decades would have been had this overture been adopted. The actions of church courts matter!
I love being in my study on Lord’s Day mornings just before Sunday school starts and hearing the pitter patter of little feet running above me. It’s glorious.
Spend some time in the Westminster Larger Catechism and do yourself a favor! I'm thankful to be in the

From a mom here:
My kids have 5 children's Bibles. They have Bible coloring pages and Scripture incorporated into evry pt of their schooling. They have SS and Wed pm lessons that teach them about God.
With no images of Christ.
It CAN be done. Don't pragmatize away obedience.
I'm thankful for the
@gospelrefnet

& the 50th Anniversary in Memphis in June!
This is the right call. I'm thankful for our Overtures Committee. The PCA should no more recognize that "non -biological males" exist than "humans who are also cats" exist. To specify such in our BCO is entirely unnecessary, but I appreciate the concern of the Ov's authors.
The Committee voted to recommend answering Overture 15 Amend BCO 7-2 to Specify Ordination for Biological Males Only, in the negative. The vote was 129-2-0.

Note: the Administrative Committee has since cancelled this event.
If you have enough shepherding needs to need another pastor, then you have enough to warrant an evening service, because those needs are met with Word prayer and sacrament.
PCAGA TE

Is there a trend of PCA TEs counseling folk to approach God with anger and even curse at Him? This won't end well.

Liberalism is totally different from Christianity, for the foundation is different. Christianity is founded upon the Bible. It bases upon the Bible both its thinking and its life. Liberalism on the other hand is founded upon the shifting emotions of sinful men. - J Gresham Machen

Let's show a little bit of charity. This isn't an endorsement of the Abortion-On-Demand party Candidate. Maybe he just liked Mr Walz's shoes or something. Let's not read too much into it.

I am sure Russell Moore will say nothing scandalous during his time at

When progressive-leaning PCA congregations are heading for the exits, does that signal the

Because you’re not an elder. Only elders vote in church courts. In Presbyterianism, the congregation has very few matters about which they can vote.
John Murray on Rom. 6:2, "It needs to be stressed at the outset in the exposition that the fact of having died to sin is the fundamental premise of the Apostle's thought. This is the IDENTITY of the believer-he died to sin."

Thankful to have Ligon Duncan with us yesterday bringing gospel-centered messages urging us to be Faithful to the Scriptures, True to the Reformed Faith & Obedient to the Great Commission even as he exalted Christ and impressed upon us the need to rest in Christ's perfect work.
What a joy it has been to reflect this year on God's faithful provision to FPFO over the past 40 years. I hope many of you will join us October 1st for our celebration as we welcome

to preach morning and evening worship.
