Someone put together a very nice collection of trailers for some of the biggest films from the '70s and '80s (and some from the '90s too!), all scanned from 35mm prints. They seem to be raw scans so some have scratches and lines but still excellent quality! Link and list below.

The Lynch rarities keep coming! Here's a copy of the unaired pilot of MULHOLLAND DRIVE (1999) quality is shit but it's the only way to see this version. "All I know is, I loved making it, ABC hated it" - David Lynch. Thanks a lot to herrmann for sharing.

This is crazy! Long before AI, deepfakes and holograms at Coachella, on May 18th of 1998 UPN aired THE VIRTUAL ED SULLIVAN SHOW. The ratings were absolute trash so it never went beyond the pilot episode but still a very cool and weird piece of TV history! Full show linked below.

Found one! No color regrading on this one. THX-1138 (1971) [Original Cut, 35mm Grindhouse Scan] The base of this copy is an Italian 35mm IB print w/ some very minor changes and additional footage added from the BD and the LD releases. Runtime is 1h25'49". Links on the next post.

Found a 16mm scan of Pixar's short KNICK KNACK (John Lasseter, 1989). First released on DVD and Blu in 2007 and then again in 2011 but both releases include the censored version of the film where they made the girl's breasts a lot flatter, that's the only difference. Link below.

TV5mondeplus is right at the top of my favorite free streaming services, their catalog isn't big but it's good, nice variety and they keep updating it, also every film is subtitled in five different languages including English and Spanish. Still can't believe this is free.

Mexican cinema can be pretty hard to find in HD quality since very few of their films seem to have been released on Bluray so the only chance to find them in HD is if someone managed to record them from TV airings, there's a fair amount of them here:

Any pool fans here? This previously lost 1971 film by Thomas DeMartini just turned up on Youtube in a beautiful HD copy scanned in 4K from a salvaged 35mm print. The film was shot in Shopper's Pool Room in Baton Rouge, LA and stars Minnesota Fats playing himself. Link below.

Yeah it's incredible how much talent there is behind this show, I just couldn't fit everything on the post, Hanks directed an episode, Cruise directed another, Sidney Pollack was exec. producer on 10 episodes, Emmanuel Lubezki was DOP on 2 of them and I could keep going.

RIP Gena Rowlands. Her first film, THE HIGH COST OF LOVING (José Ferrer, 1958) isn't streaming anywhere. DVD released in 2015 is OOP, there's no Bluray on the horizon but an HD copy turned up on WatchTCM few years ago, you can grab it with the link below.

Is anyone here familiar with animator Rupert van der Linden and knows where to find his films? Looks like a rare print of one of his films DE BLOEMEN (THE FLOWERS) from 1967 turned up on eBay last month but seems like we were unable to stop a hoarder from getting it 😭

No commercials but here's a very good quality copy of the original 74 minutes TV version of Spielberg's DUEL, from a ITV airing in 2004, just as it was shown on ABC in November of 1971. Btw the UHD release of this version looks really bad, comps below.

There's a 35mm scan of Predator on rutracker and other scans well, they include a bunch of Russian audio tracks so you'll probably have to select the English audio manually but other than that great quality. Should probably use a VPN for this one.

Not familiar with this show but looks like only 3 of the 4 episodes aired? The copies on YT are very poor but there's a full episode directed by Dewey Nicks that looks decent, guests on this one are Joey Ramone, Karl Lagerfeld, Gus Van Sant, Nick Cage, Keanu, insane lineup!

Nobody said 35mm scans are the best versions, they are different, a lot more "raw", with defects, that's what makes them special, true cinema. If you want a perfect viewing experience where everything has been polished to death then stick to your Blurays.

Everyone, please, before commenting the first movie that comes to your mind try doing a little research on your own first. Rutracker is free to register and has A LOT of stuff, so does Odnoklassniki and Vkontakte, in HD in many cases, for the last two you don't need registration.
