@BaseTitanium
is the company that wants to come mine out the Tana Delta. People and wildlife will be displaced but somehow they are deaf to our pleas. I guess the sound of money is louder. Here's the
@BankTrack
report on what they did in Madagascar.

KENYA FISHERIES SERVICE! Those secret meetings mnafanya za kupitisha maovu leo zimefichuka. I have asked personally that you include us mnakataa because you know hatuwezi kubali these kind of things in our waters. Kuna nuru gizani. YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE.
These are the elephants of Kipini. This is my reason not to be silent. These are the reasons I live, I will not back down. You can bully me, intimidate me, take away my privileges and titles. I will not relent in fighting for their justice.

@MissNasike
If you're worried about forests going to foreigners... You should know that American and Chinese companies have earmarked some forests for themselves for mining. At least carbon hawakati miti. Hii mradi ni ya full annihilation. I will post soon about this.
@HonAkalSimba
Actually we do manufacture glass in Kenya and the growth of the industry has been exponential. The problem is that the industry as in others, has favouritism... so many other companies can't compete.
Umejua scandals za Kenya zimefika Mpaka Madagascar leo? Kenya fisheries have reached the height of incompetence by issuing licences to Sri Lankan fishing vessels who pillaged our waters and moved into Madagascar, thinking they would destroy their ocean too. WALISALIMIWA!
There is a deliberate attempt to bury
@KipiniWildlife
so people don't make noise when it's taken away by force by kdf to put up livestock holding and feed lots. Will
@kot
be silent?

Let me be clear, while I also disagree totally with these large scale foreign land holdings, we can't allow the likes of this individual to use the movement for his own benefit na yeye bado ako kwa scams kibao. Jamani tusitumike vibaya.
Some of The largest owners of land in kenya below should now understand that Kenya is in a financial crisis and these huge chunks with a majority of them rich in minerals beneath them must be put to Honest and proper use to generate income for this countryโฆ.. !

Thankfully hakuna mwenye atawadanganya Mrima hills. They know about niobium and they won't mine it because it is a Kaya Forest. I keep mentioning that but there appears no interest in the value of the Kaya for the community there and this niobium seems the only thing of value?
@HonAkalSimba
Yet today, communities have joined hands to add space to extend the reserve willingly due to the benefits they receive.
@nashulai
is one of these programs, maasai led. The benefits are infinite as long as wildlife remains. Minerals are a finite resource.
To this man, may God keep you safe always. Asante for your effort. We see you.
"There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires." Nelson Mandela.
This was the submission of the chief with 270 signatures. Upon presenting it on world environment day, the community were reportedly told imeshapitishwa na lazima tukue na maendeleo? By fire by force?!
Walking with rangers in the heart of intact forests of tana delta in kipini. Now being sold to kdf for pittance to turn this pristine wilderness into cow slaughterhouses. Will we kenyans allow our nation to turn into a renter state? These are public assets. These are our rights.
@sonko_254
All the blue zones are where various companies have applied for mining and prospecting licences across the country. Majority of them are Chinese, American and Indian.
So I watched
#StateOfTheNation
address and shocked that right after talking about environment, climate change and tourism- we go into livestock sector and "reduction of the cost of animal feeds"- Did you know? that is because KDF is taking over entire wildlife habitats?
Hereโs a thread contextualizing the displacement and forceful acquisition of land by KDF and the tactics of absolving blame through dismissal of judicial process & citizen accountability.
Good morning. Conservation alliance of Kenya will hold a meeting this morning at 10am virtually on mining in forests and conservation sensitive areas. Later today, I will post a thread detailing one particular company that has earmarked the Tana Delta.

Why should it be risky for a kenyan to protect natural resources in Kenya? Surely. Hii maisha si imeanza kua ngumu. Selfish top guys making deals and throwing community and wildlife and environmental rights in the bin. Shame.

Good morning from Kipini Conservancy,the teams are hard at work doing their patrols by the beach,where we have recently had some elephant sightings. We are doing everything we can to protect this critical wildlife habitat for future generations of Kenyans to enjoy. Karibu Kipini!
