@UHB_HPB 80000/yr is like 40/hr. there are plenty of nurses that are paid more in my hospital that will not stay later so i can do my emergency case. there are attendings that dont want to work more and they are at higher rate.

@rbarbosa91 ischemic bowel by a landslide. these are negative exam patients with serious underlying comorbidities. pancreatitis has become less of a operative issue and GI bleeds I find much more forgiving.
