You can have your Labour membership revoked for liking a tweet, attending a meeting or watching a film, but if you’ve been a Tory MP for 14 years, and a junior Minister while the NHS was trashed, you’re welcomed with open arms. No principles.
Sugar and salt taxes are a joke. You don’t solve food poverty and poor diet by making sugary and salty foods more expensive. Raise wages, reduce working hours and people will have the time and money to cook healthy meals from scratch for their families

Imagine, it’s 30 degrees in Manchester and you choose to spend that afternoon shouting “Nazi” at a group of women with the temerity to say sex matters.

Kazakhstan literally this year invited CSTO forces including Russian troops to quell protests and strikes in cities. They’re hardly broken from Moscow. It’s more complicated.
If Network Rail and the
@Conservatives
get their way and close ticket offices, our stations will be in utter chaos. This is them now! Support the
@RMTunion
and their vision for a nationalised rail service, for the good of all of us.

More people have watched this clip on Twitter than have every watched this channel, total. Seems that Talk TV is built purely for social media engagement

Speaks to the shift of thinking of power being in the workplace (production) to a consumerist approach (consumption). Similar to what hobbles the climate movement.
@CeilNoyle
Wasn’t
@GaryLineker
pilloried in the right wing press for making a claim like this? But when it’s stated in the service of attacking the pro-Palestine movement and the left, it’s acceptable discourse. Even when it’s absolutely offensive to draw an equivalence.
Such vacuous nonsense.
FACT: Drivers aren’t the ones on strike
FACT: Members overwhelmingly voted to strike, this isn’t at the behest of union “barons”
FACT: In 2020 you called them heroes. Well treat them like it now
@RMTunion
@pinkneonmartini
@RMTunion
Why are you directing ire at the union? They’re not on strike at the moment. They’re calling for investment in the railways and in staff, while the bosses extract millions for shareholders.
@JonHegerty
@PaulEmbery
Jon, the point Paul makes isn’t controversial. All nations should build up their industrial, agricultural, technological capacities. It makes us more resistant to market shocks, can shift power back to workers & has a climate impact. Everything that can be “onshored” should be.
@BenjaminNorton
The idea that the KKE is tiny, haemorrhaging members and losing relevance in Greece is laughable. Greek trade unions are being battered by Chinese firms in the Piraeus port.
Max Ehmer appreciation tweet. He was made a scapegoat by some on here for our results at the beginning of last season (very unfairly in my eyes). Now he starts another league campaign as first choice CB and makes his 357th app for

Carefully peppering your necon, militarist tweets with an “international proletariat” here and a “solidarity” there doesn’t change their content.

High Street and train station in my town in the best country in the world. We could be a great country, if we weren’t governed by spivs who cared about nothing but profits for their pals.
Britain is the best country in the world.

Things like this show why Corbyn was so heavily targeted and undermined on all sides. It wasn’t his economic policies but his anti-imperialism

@broseph_stalin

Labour have no policies, no plans, no intention to raise tax receipts by going after wealth. They’re no different to Liz “grow the economy” Truss
@RichardBurgon
Good to see there are some Labour MPs with a backbone and independent socialist politics, not simply, we are against what the right wing of the Tories are against
Season ticket holders

let's welcome the new faces tomorrow and make them want to come back. To the new faces, don't turn up at 2:55. Get in early and support the boys. Up the Gills!

The interaction this person is so scared of:
“What a beautiful boy”
“She’s a girl actually”
“Sorry, but what a sweet little thing she is”
Another season & another example of Mr. Scally calling those who disagree with him as “not real fans”. You won’t get more dedicated fans than ones at Shrewsbury away. Grow a thicker skin & engage with the substantive issues. Disagreement with you isn’t personal abuse

I mean these are McCain so a premium brand but you’ll be hard pressed to find a family sized bag in Asda for under £3 now. Iceland deals of huge £1 bags are long gone.
@UniteWestMids
@UKLabour
Huge credit to
@UniteWestMids
for calling this out. If you don’t support striking workers, you’re not a “Labour” councillor in any meaningful sense of the word
@b0n0myt1res
@AaronBastani
Labour may win a general election from the “centre”, by virtue of not being the other guys and will plunge into unpopularity more quickly than any government in living memory when they decline to tackle the big problems that make our lives miserable.
@AaronBastani
I got assaulted (kicked) by someone riding a moped down a pedestrian high street. Called Police & they said investigation wasn’t in public interest as the assailant was wearing a helmet. The letter I received said it wasn’t even referred to a Police Officer! But they can do this?
@numarqs
@ResistRun
“Playing into the hands of the capitalists” is pure fantasy. In Britain, disruption caused by groups with similar tactics has been so tremendous the right wing government has rushed through oppressive legislation to tackle them.
@soniasodha
Worst of all it's just incoherent babble with "right on" soundbites. These people live in an echo chamber and as soon as they have to justify themselves to those not in the cult, they wilt in the light.
@EssexPR
It’s all about context though isn’t it. Unless you’re involved in trading, these small jumps make little difference. The overall picture is that the £ has collapsed against the $ which will impact prices of fuel, energy and food over what was already set to be a difficult winter
One of the best things I did in the last twelve months was get a subscription to

Commenting to say we need both. Huge demonstrations in UK have changed media
narrative in a matter of weeks. Not everyone is up for direct action but can take to the streets. We need various actions and tactics to do what we can here to change the narrative.
Latvian Parliament proposes dismissing the elected City Council of Daugavpils, a city of nearly 100,000 for “failing to dismantle monuments” related to the victory against fascism. Echoes of history, we thought we’d left in the past.
@MarvinSordell
I would say do what you players think is the best way of supporting the movement rather than asking those who aren't happy what *they* would want. Anti-racism campaigning should make us all uncomfortable, because the comfortable status quo is the problem in the first place!
@catsfeettowel
The whole discourse around “gentrification” is wrong. Buying a house or renting in an area you can afford is just what people have todo. The problem is the housing market not individuals. You don’t need to earn the “right” to live in any given neighbourhood
