@cvkrishnan Looks like an excuse. 10-20 k people migrating to high risk zones doesn't effect HR pool that much in India. Their HR department seems to be bad {as others who complain about lack of people}. Companies need to figure out how to build HR pipeline if they aren't getting readily.

@svembu The first thing that needs to happen is top down discouragement to alcohol. Movies, Songs and Internet glorify alcohol and people are forced to consume to socialize. People with a predisposition towards addiction are pushed. Same is loans for vanity. Dopamine !

@StefanFSchubert As expected these numbers are from 2010 {around the time I took JEE, didn't go to IIT} and anecdotally yes, most people went to US then. Expect the numbers to vary too much when checked for around 2020, when startups started booming in India and v high paying jobs are available.

This is an L for India. We are essentially going to give away the most powerful fuel we have for future growth: "Data created by our huge population". This data will be used to create AIs which might change nature of our jobs while the companies with data have no answerability.
