This is not a dunk, one has to be allowed to disagree agreeably sometimes. But what's this nonsense about 'the perfectionism of immersive sims" - describes no immersive sim I've ever played. Also, just because a game has physics, it doesn't automatically make it an immersive sim.

PROT isn't an immersive sim (or is it), but it scratches the same itches - come up with harebrained schemes to acquire resources and build yourself a spaceship. I've played an early cut and I adore it. Chris was co-dev on for first part of Ctrl Alt Ego. Wishlist PROT on Steam!

The @RPGCodex GOTY poll results are out, big winner was Elden Ring, followed by Knights of the Chalice 2 and King Arthur: Knight's Tale. Also on the Top 10 are Persona 5 Royal, Fear & Hunger 2: Termina, Ctrl Alt Ego, The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and Zorbus.

I very much doubt it'll do anything like the numbers, but if you reckoned Ctrl Alt Ego was the game with the MOST INNOVATIVE GAMEPLAY in 2022, please nominate it! (on Steam). Perhaps it secretly helps with the algorithms or something if nothing else.

3 immersive sims + 1 physics sim to try in #SteamNextFest . Peripeteia - Stalker vibe, off the scale verticality Sorceress - very polished demo, deserves more attention IH2 - not tried yet Mosa Lina - only one ingredient of an imsim 😛 but all the ingredients of a smash hit

Work in progress sandbox generation settings. It's going to be possible to create uncompletable maps but I don't care. The best maps are when they seem uncompletable initially but then a cunning solution can be found - making this an emergent puzzle generator.
