AWWA is a registered society & therefore subject to state & central labour laws. Ehsaan ginnaaneka kya Matlab hain? Get work contracts signed and then bring in people to work! Wives of serving personnel cannot use AWWA exp on their resumes. AWWA isn't a part of the ARMy afterall!

We had a extremely nasty incident with a Fauji kid now Fauji wife bullying other fauji wives of the location. Matters reached senior authorities. It later turned out that what the former was asking others to do was not allowed as per military rules. She wasn't aware!!!

Facilities in the military are given to serving personnel, not to their families. I was clearly told facilities are not given to family members. Dependents are entitled to use some of the facilities given to the officer. Vehicles are provided for security reasons, not luxury.

Counterstrike came out in 2003 & it is since then that I've known from extended family members that one can chat & talk within computer games. I even saw friends play DOTA with random Russians. There are kids chatting with strangers in Minecraft & many parents don't know. Share!

Very often unknown names were being seen in online welfare sessions because and I hope solely because many women, mostly wives of ORs, use email IDs of male relatives.

I showed Ladies meets catwalk videos to some Naval officers. Participation is compulsory. They were stunned & replied 'Fauj main yeh sab karwaate hain auraton se? Tum jaao mat aise programs ke liye. Nothing can be compulsory for you. You are a civilian & not under the Army Act."

I know a lady who is facing ostracization in the unit. All other wives of officers of that unit smoke and drink there when they get together and she is the only non-smoker and teetotaller. She simply cannot socialize with the other army wives and rightly so.

Problem with the newer generation offrs is that they are very materialistic and entitled. I dont know why they pinpoint the kids. When i went home last year in IMA, the neighbor in front was having a weed party with fellow offrs and wives that too infront of buddy! Like really?

Women with sons are even more scared than those with girls. In 1 unit, for 2 consecutive years, sons of ORs got commissioned as Lieutenants. Lady who told me this lamented, "What are our sons doing? Our boys are just loitering around! All the toppers in APS here are OR's kids!"

Wife is the property of her husband? Female spouses are the property of the organization? You work for any organization only after a legally binding contract is signed between the concerned parties. Is this subtle acknowledgement of the fact that wives are considered free labour?

@chutzpah86 @planetsexism One more: One officer had a software engineer wife. She never joined him in any station. The officer quit his job because the Tiger & his gharwali pestered him to get his wife to come to the duty station as she was the only one not participating in "AAVA SHAVA".
