Ejection comes with risk of neck & spinal injuries. First responders in today's #MiG29crash & 2019 #SKAT crash displayed great compassion, empathy & wisdom. They kept pilots safe till rescuers arrived. Lifting, twisting or manhandling ejectee can cause irreversible spinal injury.

The ALH operated by @indiannavy alone has saved 200+ lives in #Maldives over 6 contingents, often operating at the extremes of its envelope. This in addn to lives saved by IN Dornier & ICG ALH. Such capacities can be revoked by diktat but can't be raised overnight. Sad state.😐

Absolutely NOT. Sometimes pilots backtrack for getting sufficient clearances for a takeoff, especially where combination of WAT (weight, altitude, temperature) poses difficulty in conventional helipad takeoff or the temporary helipad doesn't meet FATO criteria. Pls fact check.
