The 8" in Gr. Rapids yesterday broke a record that stood for nearly 70 years! It was also the last time we recorded 8" in a calendar day since Dec. 2016. It also pushed GRR season snowfall to >avg for 1st time in two seasons. #wmiwx #miwx

Walking my dog this morning we noticed ducklings had fallen into sewer grate. Mom would not leave the corner. Quick call to neighbors (former GR Township FD volunteers) and the rescue commenced. Good news mom & ducklings have been reunited.

At 34.1 degrees we are currently tied w/ 1998 for 2nd warmest February. (warmest 34.7 in 2017) We've never achieved 70 degree reading in Gr. Rapids in February. There's a chance we can do it Tuesday. It appears we certainly will tie the record high of 67 degrees. #wmiwx #miwx

5 consecutive days in a deep freeze has done just that to the unfrozen waters across the Great Lakes. Ice coverage has doubled in the past week increasing over 12,000 square miles during that time. It will continue to expand in the coming week. #wmiwx #miwx
