I’m delighted to have completed my first ever London Marathon today. I have been raising funds for the charity Bliss - for babies born premature or sick. It is a personal cause after the charity provided the most incredible support, help and advice when our son was born early.

It’s good to see the Partnership Agreement being rolled out. There are too many calls that the Police are expected to attend which is not their role - in place of another agency. They’re better deployed to tackle crime and antisocial behaviour.

Five suspected activists were arrested at around 6.20am today, after our proactive patrols stopped a suspicious car near #Westerham and the #M25 motorway. Climbing equipment, harnesses, D-locks and banners have all been seized and the suspects have been taken into custody.

The Chief Constable reported back to me at my Performance and Delivery Board this week on the good progress being made locally. And this is against a backdrop of improved call handling performance with more people able to get through. @CPhilpOfficial #MakingKentSafer

This is a really important thread. There’s an awful lot of great work going on through great organisations like @MBCoalition and many charities but they don’t get the attention they deserve. And we need a national men and boys strategy.
