Hello Heidi, No offence intended - dictionary definition describes a prisoner as “a person captured and kept confined by an enemy or criminal” - so while the word could be used, I take your point that “hostage” might be better. PS I work for @LBCNews not @LBC

I just heard @martinstanford on @LBC describe the hostages held by Hamas as “prisoners”. No my husband’s cousin is not a prisoner. He was in his home in his country when terrorists invaded and murdered his child in front of him. And took him to Gaza. He is a hostage. Fix this.
