Last night's aurora from Ballintoy harbour, just kicked off as cloud cover was moving in with green rays dancing in a 5 degree strip above the horizon. 15mm wide angle here, I was hoping the rays would surge in height well into Ursa Major but the clouds had the upper hand.

Seven years ago I witnessed a beautiful aurora display from Beaghmore Stone Circles, the frost beneath us glowed pink & red under the brilliant auroral arcs. Looking forward to more of this in the future, read the report from this night on my website...

180 degree aerial panorama of Moneyneany in the Sperrins during the first snowfall of 2022, you really need to see the full size high res version to appreciate the detail in this scene. #sperrins #snow #winter #moneyneany

Perseid meteor with fairy tree from near Beaghmore last night in Co. Tyrone. Meteor was mag -1, shooting near the radiant was the best place last night directly opposite the moon, there seemed to be more activity in that region of sky. #perseids

Cumulonimbus from Benone beach during our first storm chase of the season on Jan 14th. This was the only nice cell of the day, the upper level winds sculpted out a nice anvil. A random person walking the beach made for a nice sense of scale. @StormHour

Complex halo display from Cookstown, I annotated this image, I havent seen all these forms together since 2007/8 and even back then there was no parry arc, so reckon this is the best range of phenomena I've seen together #optics #sunhalos

Time lapse of Sunday night's aurora display from Ballintoy then Swatragh wind turbines. Full frame DSLR at 15mm F/2.8. A great show nine years in the making. There will be even better to come on the months and years ahead. #aurora #timelapse #swatragh
