No matter how weak eunyung realises his father is there still apart of him that’s scared. Not much time has passed since eunyung “escaped” either. The trauma from his childhood is still VERY much real and won’t be washed away that easily

I always interpreted that Eunyung's father was shown to us as a shadow or dark thing because Eunyung was still scared of him to some extent, so when we finally saw his face and saw that he was an ugly dwarf man I thought it was because he had the courage to confront him more +
