So something crazy happened yesterday!!! Had some buddies host me at Atlanta National! Tee time was 1:40 but long story short I drove to the wrong course. The guys patiently push the tee time out. On the thrid full swing of the day this happens! Golf is crazy! 2nd hole 174

The next course @Top100Rick and I played together was the famed Shinnecock Hills. This is one of the final 3 courses I had left to complete the US Top 100 golf courses. Rick got me on at a society event. We won the event and I now have crystal trophy for 1st place at Shinnecock!

The next course that @Top100Rick and I played will always hold a special place in my life. This course completed my quest to play the Top 100 US Golf Courses! The final course was Frairs Head! I really feel like the clubhouse is one of the best backdrops in all of golf!

Day 4, and what a start to the doubleheader! Tobacco Road Golf Club is a true classic, born from tobacco farms, transformed by the genius of Mike Strantz. From an old sand quarry to something spectacular and unique. Bucket-list course! 6 birdies and an even par round!

The next course on the Chicago swing was Chicago Golf Club! It’s such a historical place! One of my favorite moments was when we got to the Redan as it was playing 230 into the wind. @Top100Rick and the group made fun of me for hitting driver. I hit it to 4 feet and made birdie!

Cabot St. Lucia Point Hardy Bold, Dramatic, Beautiful, Crazy! These are some words to describe Cabot St. Lucia. It could be one of the most beautiful ocean courses I’ve ever seen. The conditions were firm and fast like I’ve never seen on an ocean course.

Enjoying Bandon Dunes for my birthday again this year! Day one was yesterday at the Sheep Ranch. I don’t think I’ve seen a nicer day there since the course opened. 60 degrees and not a breath of wind!

Mammoth 🦣 Dunes Is the next course @Top100Rick and I played. Mammoth is just pure fun. The course is so playable! If you can’t have fun playing here then you’re doing something wrong. The best part of all these trips are the people. I love golf!

Day 2 of my golf trip at the stunning Mid Pines Golf Course. A Donald Ross masterpiece restored in 2013. This course isn’t about breaking records, it’s about immersing yourself in Ross’s vision. It’s the perfect mix of challenge and charm, and it’s why I love this game so much.

Visited @LakeMercedGolf A true gem with a rich history dating back to 1922. The recent Gil Hanse renovation breathes new life into this Alister MacKenzie classic. A must-play for golf enthusiasts seeking a blend of tradition and challenge! Oh I played with friends 😂

Day 2 of my yearly Bandon trip is in the books! Today was Pacific Dunes! Of the last 17 years I’ve been coming yesterday and today were the best weather days I’ve ever experienced in late November here. The more I play them the more I love them!

Got a great opportunity and go out and play Michael Jordan’s golf course! Grove 23! I can’t post any pictures from inside the gates but the place was a total blast. Might be the best clubhouse and locker room I’ve seen!

Double Eagle 🦅 @Top100Rick and I got the pleasure to get out and play. What a fantastic club! Very small membership which makes even more special when you’re able to get out and play. I’m a big fan of the course as it makes you hit great golf shots!

Day 6 of another 36 holes, and we played Southern Pines Golf Club, one of Donald Ross’s first designs! Restored in 2021, this 6,500-yard gem blends nature and strategy. Don’t miss the ‘Lost Hole’ sand green loop back to the clubhouse. It’s great celebrate my buddies birthday!!

Day 3 of my Bandon trip was played on Bandon. The more I play it the more I love it! This by far my favorite DMK course. The course was perfect this year! Already wishing I was back on property!

The Memorial tournament is about to start this week and I wanted to show off my recent visit! The course is in absolutely epic condition! It’s firm and fast and the rough is definitely a penalty. Murfield Village is an amazing place! Clubhouse and staff are absolutely amazing!

The start of an epic golf week start at Austin Golf Club. I’ve been out here a few times but the course was in the best condition I’ve ever seen! Turf conditions were amazing! It’s a treat every time I play! Great day with great friends!

Had a wonderful time with my man @Top100Rick @GozzerRanchGolf Perched on a peninsula along Lake Coeur d’Alene. Tom Fazio design with breathtaking elevation changes, rugged bunkers, and striking black rock outcroppings. Every hole feels like a signature. Epic day!

Early this week I was able to get out and play Oakland Hills again. The course conditions are always perfect! I forgot how hard the course actually plays. The real highlight of the day was being with a good friend and my birdie on number 10!

Was in Maui this week and got in a few rounds. Big highlight was Makena Golf & Beach Club. This is a Discovery property and was just a fantastic property! I really look forward to visiting Maui again just to play here again! My boy @Top100Rick has some great memories here!

Day 5 of our doubleheader golf day and we played Pinehurst No. 4. A true work of art by Gil Hanse. From the exposed sand dunes to the stunning views at every turn, this course blends seamlessly into the rolling North Carolina Sandhills. Definitely one of the best at Pinehurst.

Major Championship venue was next on travels in Chicago. Medinah beat me up the entire day. If there was a hanging limb I’d hit it. If there was water I found it. It’s one of the worst rounds I’ve ever played. @Top100Rick and I still had a blast and he beat me badly!

Day 5, and it’s another doubleheader! Took on The Cradle by Gil Hanse. A short-game test with twisting fairways, deep bunkers, and wild greens. Didn’t pass the first test? Replay rounds are free! Donald Ross had it right: golf should be a pleasure, not a penance.

I made a small error in the Lutzy and @Top100Rick golf travels. I missed a round that we played the day after Augusta National which was even closer then PeachTree. We got the pleasure to play Augusta Country Club! Another great day with great people!

Day 3 of my golf journey brings me to the legendary Pinehurst No. 2! Donald Ross’s masterpiece, known for its tricky crowned greens, has hosted 5 U.S. Opens with more to come. Landing a shot here is like hitting a ball on top of a VW Beetle! Highlight was a 2 on 2 ( #17 )

From Wade Hampton to High Hampton! Conditions at High Hampton were perfection. Another mountain course that isn’t forced and fits perfectly within the terrain. This got me thinking, me and @Top100Rick have been on some huge wood bridge complexes. What’s the largest you have seen?

Champions Retreat ⛳️ 3 different 9’s by 3 different architects! Nicklaus Palmer Player I found the Nicklaus 9 to be the best. I’m sure @Top100Rick doesn’t agree. Do you know how it was decided what piece of land each of them would get? I love golf!

Hidden Gem 💎 Alert Day4, Second Course of the day! Highland Country Club. Another Donald Ross opened in 1945! Green complex’s were amazing and the routing is fantastic! So many runoffs and false fronts. Can’t wait to go back!

Well last month I got out to my second Cabot property of the year. @CabotCitrus Didn’t disappoint! The course was so much fun. From the @TrackManGolf range to the putting course you just can’t go wrong. It will just keep getting better with time!

Day 6, second round of 18 in the rain at @PineNeedlesGolf A pure Donald Ross design, untouched since 1921 and restored by Kyle Franz in 2013. This gem is as natural as it gets and a true test, even for the pros! An epic week of a birthday celebration golf week!

Another one of my favorites from the year was @BootRanch Boot Ranch Golf Club is a masterpiece of the Texas Hill Country. With natural golf holes, stunning elevation changes. The course offers a challenge for every golfer. Greens are fast & firm and 18 is tough finish!

Earlier this year I got out to Austin Country Club. Austin Country Club was founded in 1899 and a true gem of Austin. Now at its third location, this Pete Dye-designed layout challenges golfers with its unique design and rich history. A must-play for anyone who loves the game!

A while back I had a discussion with many about Greg Norman golf courses. After playing Seminole I got the pleasure of playing Shell Bay. They did a great job with the limited land they have and the course was just fun to play with perfect conditions.

@Top100Rick I hate this debate. If the scorecard says it’s a par 4 and you make a 4 it’s a par. If it’s a 3 it’s a birdie and if you make a 2 it’s and Eagle. Should I go on? Course rating and slope take care of everything else.

The walk between 2 and 3 is fantastic and the great reveal that happens on the finishing holes of the front 9 is something every golfer should see.
