Some on this platform don’t like Jordan Spieth, which is your God-given right. But Heaven help me if you find a more humble, honest sports celebrity right now in this world. Dude is pure class and doesn’t appear to have an inauthentic bone in his body. Will ALWAYS root for him!!!
🚨🏌🏻♂️😲 This man recorded an ace on what is normally a par 4 but there was a temporary tee placed 180 yards out.
Are you counting this as a hole-in-one?
Everyone (including Rory) will remember the short putts missed on the 16th & 18th holes, but I’d contend that if Rory hits the right club and shot on the Par-3 15th and makes par, he wins the tournament.

Rory McIlroy…
-endlessly defended PGA Tour
-turned down reportedly $500M
-sidelined during the negotiation
…“All I’ve wanted is to protect the future of the PGA Tour and I hope that this does that.”
You won’t find a more loyal CLASS ACT in sports.
I’m actively rooting for Homa this weekend. Would be a great story if he wins his first major.
But I’ll tell you something:
I’m not rooting against DeChambeau. Dude is growing on me.

Mid-Pines is such an amazing little Carolina Sandhills treat. This 1921 Donald Ross design just outside of Pinehurst was brilliantly restored by Kyle Franz in 2013, oozing of rich history & golden age mystique. Excellent Par-3 variety & good mixture of doglegs. Very fun greens!
Tobacco Road, my first Mike Strantz design ever, is an otherworldly experience. Best described as if Tom Fazio & Pete Dye had a love child on acid on mars, it’s much more visually intimidating than actually difficult. Superb bunker design, hilariously fun greens & a perfect vibe.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.
If everyone in this world spent as much time playing golf and watching Seinfeld as they do arguing about politics & religion, it might be a better place.
That’s all I have to say.
A few weeks back I mentioned 41° was a ridiculous loft to stamp P or W on
This is a new level of stupid
I asked the pupil what she used the club for she said pitching which she is no good at
I put the 56 in her hand & she could pitch
At least he confirmed what this is really about. The opportunity for a very small, very select, & very influential group of private clubs to potentially host USGA championships again.
@LouStagner
So long as he’s not taking a spot of someone who would otherwise qualify, I’m fine with it. Tiger’s won 82 times and is the most significant golfer to ever play on the PGAT. He deserves it.
And I doubt he’ll even play in them much anyways.
IU Men’s Basketball hasn’t been to an Elite Eight since 2002. Here’s a list of how many the other “Blue Bloods” in CBB have had since:

- UConn (6)

The Scottie Scheffler arrest is insane and the memes/tweets have been hilarious.
While today won’t be remembered by most for John Mills, it’s a great reminder that for a small group, this is the worst day of their lives. Rest in peace, John.

Can someone please provide a sane, apolitical response to this question?
If golf courses shutdown all clubhouse operations, green fees are pre-paid, courses are walking only & there is no touching of flagsticks, cups, or carts....
...How is golf less safe than walking the dog?
Merion (East) is a stunning 1912 Hugh Wilson design that was brilliantly enhanced by Gil Hanse post the 2013 U.S. Open. Known by many as the toughest course under 7,000 yards in America, I found it extremely playable, fun & requires every club. Simply the best course I’ve played.
Harbour Town is a Top 10 golf experience I’ve had and absolutely the best Pete Dye course I’ve played. While it’s demanding off the tee, the real challenge is the incredibly small, slick greens. Exceptional quartet of Par-3s and I particularly loved the Par-4 13th & 18th holes.
It would’ve been Pete Dye’s 98th birthday today! My

Inverness Club in Toledo, OH is a magnificent Donald Ross design that was restored to near perfection by Andrew Green. Weaving across a demanding creek and incorporating some nice elevation changes, the Par-4s are the real treat. Superb conditioning & fantastic caddie program.

One thing I take great joy in is that I’ve accompanied nearly 100 golfers at private clubs who’d likely never get a chance to play otherwise.
The private golf system in the US isn’t an open one, but I’m thrilled to be fortunate enough to bring fellow tweeps along for the ride!!!
Wifey Tweed is in trouble as I’m in love with Essex CC. Unequivocally the best Ross course I’ve played outside of Pinehurst, the history of one of his earliest American designs is apparent as you walk on site. The closing nine is arguably best I’ve played. Top 3 in my lifetime.
Anyone criticizing Lexi Thompson for retiring this young is just pissed they can’t do it at age 29. Props to her for doing so & hope she uses her life to make waves in all endeavors. But I can’t help imagine that she’d have played longer had she had a more traditional childhood.
I know it’s a Nicklaus, but I’ve walked Muirfield Village a dozen times as a spectator & its been a dream to play.

, my dream came true. Fabulous conditions, superb caddies & one of the best quartets of Par-5s & Par-3s I’ve played. Best course in Ohio.
Sweet Jesus. The fact Tiger had to apologize for this through the media is ridiculous. If it wasn’t exposed by golf media & influencers to begin with (guilty) then everyone could have saved their fake outrage. This isn’t misogynistic. It’s not offensive. It’s not sexist. MOVE ON.
“It was supposed to be all fun and games but it didn’t turn out that way. If I offended anybody it was was not the case…. If I offended anybody in any way shape or form, I am sorry.”
Tiger Woods told the media today on his prank of handing a tampon to JT after he outdrove him.
