I didn’t read enough last year.
I got several new books last year and for Christmas, and just ordered one more.
My goal is to read a new book at least every two weeks. Let’s say 25 books in 2024.
This starts tomorrow.
I am completely in shock.
Thank you
@PinehurstResort
for allowing me to live a dream.
The plan is for my Dad to join me. This is once in a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Today was one of the memory book.
First of all, thank you
@PinehurstResort
for giving me and my Dad a chance to make some fantastic memories together on Number 2. I cherished every step of the walk, and am amazed at the beauty of the course.
Married a week ago.
#NBCTstrong
today. What an incredible feeling.
Not possible without the support of my wife, friends, coworkers, and family. Praise God for his mercy and grace.
Y’all, I’ve lost 28 pounds since November 27th. I feel great, I’m sleeping great, and while I’ve struggled at some points, I’m in awe at the progress made.
If I could lose 8 more pounds in the next two weeks, I’ll have reached my first goal.
Just wanted to share. I’m excited.
So, a student gave me a book this morning for teacher appreciation. It was a book I was looking over at the book fair, but just couldn’t afford to get another book. He noticed and found the book at Barnes and Noble for me as a gift.
Best. Teacher. Appreciation. Ever.
It really has been amazing. Words can’t properly convey my gratitude for
@PinehurstResort
and their generosity. What a blessing this will be, and for me to spend it with my Dad is the cherry on top.
March 10th can’t get here soon enough!
Until then, lots of practice!
We were really touched by so many of your responses to our interaction with Eric yesterday. We're grateful for our community here, for what golf can do, and encourage everyone to do something kind for someone today. We can't wait to welcome Eric and his dad to Pinehurst No. 2.
Today, I had the best PD I’ve had in at least three years. It was nothing but P.E. teachers, sharing best practices and organizing ways for us to meet more often.
We need more of this. Less of things that don’t pertain to us and more of this.
This helped re-energize me.
So, deleted social media off my phone for lent so limited interactions on here for a while. Just wanted to say 2 things: 1) blood work shows that my health problems I had three months ago may no longer be an issue now! and 2) I am a very lucky, blessed, and happy man.
Tonight someone I know died. Speeding, no seatbelt and alcohol were all contributing factors.
I know and love his family and I know they are hurting. I wish there was something more I could do, but for now I pray.
And I plead: Don’t drink and drive. Be safe on the road.
Sometimes in life, you can do all the right things, out work every one in the room, earn every bit of a reward and watch it go to someone who took shortcuts, did some shady stuff, and overall didn’t deserve it.
It will catch up to them. And your reward will be much greater.
@GrandPOOBear
I LOVED the Goose series. People will catch on hopefully. I watch for you and your commentary more than a specific game. I hope others will eventually do the same.
One of the greatest moments of my professional career. Thank you
@JCPS_NC
and
@MicroElem
- I am proud to represent our school and district as a National Board Certified Teacher!

@NBPTS
So, my fourth graders and I have been reading the Miscalculations of Lightning Girl at the end of each class since August. We finished it today! Thank you
@stacymcanulty
for writing an incredible book. I think they want to see how the world ends in April next?
#MicroPride
At the end of each class I have been reading to my students all year long. Today, I had two 5th graders give up their recess to join me and they offered to read!
@MicroElem
@MIESMediaCenter
I got an awesome note today. It was what I needed in the moment. Blessed to be able to coach with
@NJMiddle_BB_FB
and
@t22snipes
- we aren’t perfect, but we care about the kids and this community.
@JeffJacksonNC
Who can we contact to voice our displeasure? As a taxpayer and educator, this is nonsensical.
Thank you for shedding light on this awful tactic.
My heart broke today when I saw a student crying because she was hungry and didn’t have a snack.
So I bought her a snack. She gave me a hug and now my heart is full.
Love God and love your neighbor.
Four years ago, life started to fall apart.
Depression hit pretty soon after that.
I didn’t want to be around anymore.
I’m so glad I stayed.
I am thankful for every breath now.
As hard as it was, I’m thankful I hit rock bottom. I appreciate life a lot more now.
Hey,
@ericomac15
, dreams come true sometimes. What are you doing on Sunday, March 10? We have a spot for you and a guest of yours on Pinehurst No. 2 that day if you'd like it.
Yes, we're serious.
I can’t do this getting old thing. Kids I taught when I was 22 are now seniors.
Sometimes emotion hits you at the weirdest times. It hit me tonight during halftime.
What a blessing this ride has been and will continue to be until it’s over.

What an incredible season that will unfortunately be tainted by some of the calls or non-calls in this game. Should be celebrating. Lady Panthers, we are proud of you. What an honor it was to support you this year!
@njhssoftball
Congratulations on a great season
@njhssoftball
- it was an honor to watch y’all play this year. Thank you for representing NJHS with class.

@MalloryRubin
Wait, Jeff Jackson is your brother in law?
Holy crap small world. He’s fantastic and I hope to be able to vote for him in a state or federal election one day.
For anyone who has commented and sent well wishes, thank you. I will do an update post with some pictures when the day gets here. I’m gladly taking any advice and tips - this will literally be the first time I’ve had a caddie, and by far the nicest course I’ve ever been on.
I am completely in shock.
Thank you
@PinehurstResort
for allowing me to live a dream.
The plan is for my Dad to join me. This is once in a lifetime, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
So, in about 10 hours I take my Component 1 test for National Boards. There are so many things that should be prioritized above this, but if you could say a quick prayer for me tomorrow, I would appreciate it.
Today was one of the memory book.
First of all, thank you
@PinehurstResort
for giving me and my Dad a chance to make some fantastic memories together on Number 2. I cherished every step of the walk, and am amazed at the beauty of the course.
Tonight was a great one. I got to spend time with my high school mentor, the man who helped make me who I am today. He influenced my career and my spiritual walk with Christ. Great seeing you
@davidbagwell7
- I will always be thankful for you.
A big thank you to
@joeovies
and
@giglio_OG
of the OG - while I didn’t exactly feel comfortable putting the OG shirt on Payne Stewart, I did use the shirt as a bag cover! I appreciate your generous natures and hard work as well. Go give them a listen, folks!
To close a too long thread, if you reached out with any positive words, I want you to know I read and felt them all. Golf Twitter can be the best part of this wretched site. Let’s continue to grow the game in a positive way.
I have cried more in the past four days than I have in the past four years.
I’m thankful for friends who have selflessly given up time/comfort to take my mind off things and to remind me that things will be better.
We may be knocked down, but we’re not out forever.
@GrandPOOBear
hey man. Hope you’re well. 2 things - 1) your recent stream with
@AdamColePro
(bay bay) was as entertaining and fun as anything of yours I’ve ever seen. (And seriously, living the dream!) 2)
@YouTube
basically hid this video from the world. I had to search
Today is one of my favorite days of the year. I am honored to be working at the

When 8 people get baptized, your pastor promotes your podcast during the sermon, AND talks about Ric Flair and the Four Horsemen (complete with Wooo!) then you know it’s the start of a great day.
Congratulations
@dclaybest
for your induction into the
@JCPS_Athletics
Hall of Fame! Your sports writing helped create and fuel my young sports fan curiosity and I truly appreciated your coverage of our local schools.
Here is some positivity for today. Our EC teacher, Mrs. Brannan, and her class have noticed some blue birds hanging out around their window. So today, we put up a bird house. And it was awesome.

Currently waiting for my Popeyes chicken sandwich and one thing I’ll say: chick fil a and their service is unmatched. Had a guy here who waited 32 minutes for his order. Ridiculous.
Q3: Think about your PLN - who is someone that you know and maybe haven't even met in person, that you would most like to work with at a school?
#KidsDeserveIt
A2: I’m a P.E. Teacher, so the answer is simple - lots of activity! If weather is nice, go outside! Do something creative, this is taking risks season! Kids will love you for it!
