NEW: FOI requests made to the Met police show rape and sexual assault cases are at their highest since 2018. But charges are at their lowest.
Just 1.5% of rape and 3% of sexual assault cases end up being charged.
So what can change?
Last year we went to Syria because we wanted to speak to young women who packed up their things and left to join ISIS.
I spent four days with Hoda. Her story is extremely complicated but she agreed to tell us it in full.
It’s out Sunday.
We found since 2018 over 23,000 victims of domestic abuse have filed as homeless to their councils. Only 34% of those victims were housed and the majority of them were put up in B&Bs, hotels and mixed gender hostels - sometimes living in threatening homes and without support
Calls to domestic violence helplines soared almost as soon as the country went into lockdown.

Today is my last day at TNM 💚
There’s so much I want to say and so many people to thank but my wonderful colleagues and editors at TNM allowed me to make mistakes and work out with so much freedom the journalist I wanted to be.
And for that I can’t thank them enough.
This is Hoda Muthana. When she was 20 she left the US to join ISIS. She's currently living in a prison camp in northern Syria.
After spending four days of getting to know her. Hoda agreed to sit down and talk to us about why she left the US.
Last year we travelled to prison camps in north east Syria to meet young women who decided to leave their homes and join ISIS.
This is where I met Hoda Muthana. I spent four days with her…and her story is extremely complicated.

A decision isn't expected until after 11:30am - we'll be live at court
One year on from Zara Aleena's murder and such an emotional day to be reporting on.
@psych_iamfarah

(1/8) NEW: Shamima Begum is "genuinely sorry & regretting it", says her old deradicalisation writing teacher.

Tomorrow's a big day for Shamima Begum.
A top immigration court will announce whether or not it was unlawful to strip Shamima of her British citizenship.
This isn't about ordering her home, it's all about whether the government acted lawfully in removing her citizenship.
