@Guiness_Pig
I worked for someone who had a reputation of bouncing the last cheques of the folks who quit. No surprise, my final cheque bounced. The best part was - after ignoring my calls, I accidentally ran into her AT THE BANK. She walked over to the ATM with her tail between her legs.
#YallMasking
? Because no matter how hard you work at preventing covid transmission in a minimizing household, it’s going to find its way in. Wish me luck 🤞
@DGBassani
They’ll blame long covid on anything but long covid. My sister had covid, and shortly after she got a sinus infection - her doctor said it was because she wasn’t exposing herself to enough germs, not that covid could have made her more vulnerable
@ThePOTSPostman
A cardiologist I saw said I’d look like a drug user if I had saline infusions each week 🤦♀️ - doctors are just as exhausting as the illness.
@agirlopinions
Oh my goodness I have similar dreams where I forget my mask or am for some reason not wearing one at parties and can’t find any! It’s engrained
I recently saw a fertility treatment center that participated in a gynaecological procedure for an orangutan. The entire team was in N95s to stop the spread of any disease to the mammal. I said “I wish this was done in human healthcare” response: “we don’t have to”.
@Jimothy_Jimothy
It’s caused the algorithm to mostly show me CC folks who are now choosing to unmask for special events. A special form of gaslighting.
@sassyashieOG
I’m so sorry. This is my fear too. I have a few things I’d like to share, but the ones I have chosen to haven’t had the best response and I attributed it to her being a mom to boys.
@BogochIsaac
We unfortunately did not learn much about managing the current pandemic as most are under the assumption it has ended. I have little faith in the powers that be to keep us informed of and protected from the next one.
@StefanGBucher
That’s exactly how I’ve been feeling the last few months - “when did I become the radical for continuing to mask indoors? Did I miss that memo?”
@BogochIsaac
People aren’t dying at the same rates as before, but they are still being “throttled” in unimaginable ways that the medical system is not acknowledging
#longcovid
@SarahsGarden12
Also have blight, the very first time. And Japanese beetles a plenty. Couldn’t get the beans to germinate and barely saw any pollinators. I used to farm and sell my produce at farmers markets & never experienced what I have this season.
@TheAngryEpi
I’ve been wearing an n95 from the start, but the hospital staff in Ontario only wear surgical masks and make me take mine off and replace it with theirs when I arrive for appointments. This is tiring now.
Universities have minimal flexibility in terms of providing alternative assignments or working locations. Instead they would rather students with disabilities disappeared.

@lucyveepee
She also went back to work for a vaccine event only a 4-5 days after testing positive with her second covid infection, so, likely still positive. I remember thinking “why isn’t anyone seeing this?”. Inconsistencies really bother me.
@chronicallybeee
He doesn’t even realize she’s protecting him - and he’s mocking her. I hate people. Thing is, she’d likely keep on protecting him even if she knew. Maskers are beyond good people; to keep on doing the right thing in the face of so much hatred.
@crwequine
The way she pushed back and held her ground when challenged about PEM and exercise was awe inspiring; and did so firmly but eloquently. Such respect.
@isitjus39832272
I have a separate space and created a positive pressure environment with fans. My vents were covered with merv 13 filters. I also have two hepa filters and keep the windows open. I was able to take my mask off but wasn’t always comfortable doing so.
@healingfromlc
I was rejected from a POTs clinic recently for being 2 hours away - there are only two in Ontario. The location closest to me is 24 month waitlist. I’ve already been struggling for 13 years with rapid decline past 2 months. It’s terrible out here.
@traumamom4
As much I appreciate and value these notes to the public, much of the work of appreciating residents needs to come from inside the institution. My friend just finished residency; the patients weren’t the problem.
@lucyveepee
A family member will often say that just like with anti-covid conspiracy theorists there are covid cautious conspiracy theorists and I have yet to figure out how to respond because covid safe information is not a conspiracy…it can feel that way.
@pamelarbishop
I wonder if this is what I’m dealing with but it doesn’t matter how many doctors I ask about viral panels, I can’t get one ordered. It’s so frustrating
@Naomi_D_Harvey
@remissionbiome
Although it necessary and I love having access to this information, the average person suffering can’t pursue treatments like this for so many reasons. Having knowledge feels like a double edged sword.
@CovidSolidarit1
My parents are close to 70. I worry about them and I also find it hard to continuously worry when they don’t even worry for themselves.
This very real risk, but don’t forget the “we’re still masking” but then you find out that they eat out every week, are unmasked around friends, family, at school, with professionals, during extra-curricular activities, at work…etc etc, etc, etc.
Relative told my 11yo daughter she didn't have to mask on the ferry or in stores all week, then sent her back to me & told her to lie to me about it again 😔
@ProperChels34
@loscharlos
I feel this. Although, mid-30s, currently worried I’ll no longer be able to keep my apartment and have to move back to less than ideal conditions…it’s all very heartbreaking
@nilikm
My mom is still testing + on day 13. We only know definitively because of Pluslife and the faintest, barely visible, line on a Flowflex. She thought she was - We need better tools to know if we’re negative for sure. Fingers crossed and best wishes for your family.
@DavidElfstrom
And very rarely do I see them make any attempt to cover their face - just blasting germs into the air but staring at my masked face like I’m doing something absurd 🙄
@CheriDiNovo
Why aren’t we considering ubi anymore? This would solve so many issues including the odsp one. I’m a disabled individual who doesn’t qualify for ODSP and I have a terrible quality of life. UBI would solve just about everything. Stop screaming and do something
@julierehmeyer
This happened to me also, and there isn’t anyone open to acknowledging it as a possibility for my decline. I’m also pro-vaccination of course, and can’t not admit that I have never been more unwell.
I'm filing a Civil Rights Disability complaint w/ the Department of Education for forcing children and teachers into unsafe work environments daily, knowing the overall harm to health and wellbeing that contribute to chronic illness and create and/or exacerbate disability, re:
@AlexSprackland
This is me since I was a teenager and suffered an ebv infection that turned in ME. Is it adrenaline? I’ve never been able to figure it out.
@jubunnies
I’ve been trying to get my family to take better precautions so I can see them, but they don’t. So instead I’ve been focusing on my friendships with covid conscious people I’ve found on the still coviding Facebook groups (only 1, but still), hand knitting blankets, video games
@keetmuise
I know you can get these on the shop app. But I wasn’t happy with mine. There were huge gaps that meant unfiltered air could get through, and people have been taping them as the solution. I tried to send mine back but the company stopped responding.
A very similar thing happened to me, but it didn’t pick up an early infection within 8 or so hours between the testing and person becoming infectious. It was very distressing.
So. For those that have plus life units, here’s a story for you. I just tested positive on an Alcon RAT, super faint line, and subsequently tested negative on the Plus life. I am pleading w you not to take a negative on this as an ok to unmask.
@Michael59503746
Was curious if you could break down the purchasing process into steps? I’m very confused about what pieces I need to purchase separately
@SalvMattera
The second time I got a faint positive with no known exposure, I wondered the same thing - reactivation of covid or other persistent viral infection that the RAT just happened to pick up (it’s been known to happen).
@Soylent_Spring
1) she didn’t tell you she was poly to begin with before meeting 🤦♀️
2) impossible to say she’s covid safe in this situation/those variables
3) ugh what a drag
We need Novavax in Canada! Novavax is protein based COVID-19 vaccine which is a different tech than mRNA. Many people cannot receive mRNA vaccines & this one is the only other option! Canada chose not to order any! Please send emails to our Canadian officials via this template ⬇️

@Naomi_D_Harvey
I recently tried NAC because I read it has good results for decreasing brain fog…I couldn’t understand why my entire body and joints starting hurting more….stopped NAC, pain back to baseline.
@kcotenti
I hear that. I think that’s partly why I wonder if there are just a few of us left now - I very rarely leave my home, so Twitter has historically been my place to see others still masking…but there are less and less…(except this post is proving me wrong atm!)
@helmccain
I have recently been told to graduate with a general degree because my disabilities create barriers for me to participate in seminars.There are no alternatives; written assignments ,one on one work, etc. I’m struggling with the idea that I will never be able to achieve my goals
Pharmacist asked me if all the "Novavax Fans" are on some type of chat or group.
The world is literally split between those running toward death and those running toward life.
@MeetJess
Acceptance is hard. I want to believe I’ll be able to safely leave my room, unmask atone my family, travel, eat with people. I don’t want to accept my life will be like this forever.
@broadwaybabyto
Was getting an infusion yesterday and the doctor walked in maskless. I don’t know if she just had terrible bedside manner or was as shocked as she looked but it was very uncomfortable for the both of us. None of her staff masked except my amazing nurse - so grateful for her
@helmccain
I have had to fight to receive my accommodations in most classes, especially surrounding attendance. The most common response is it not being fair to the other students for me to get my accommodations
I don’t want to feel unsafe in my housing situation(s) anymore. I don’t want to have to ask my landlord to mask before entering. I don’t want to mask when she leaves after breathing on everything. I just want to be safe.
