I always told my daughter & her friends. “You go out together you come home together you leave no one behind. you don’t leave drinks unattended finish drinks before you go loo or dancing and then get fresh ones. If you see anyone drunk or distressed get their friends or get help
@marty_hogg

This is why domestic violence isn’t reported because it’s a slap on the wrist for the offender there should be a public domestic violence register name em and shame them. My father always said any man that hits a woman is a coward and no man.
@Dr2NisreenAlwan
These government advisers need to go and spend a week maskless in school classrooms in areas with this new variant then they can tell us it’s safe. If young people and children start dying they won’t be allowed to ever forget it.
@AprilRobert415
@NKeefler
no safety nets to catch you if you fall. They take your taxes when your fit and healthy then they turn their backs when you need help. It can happen to anyone if you don’t have income or mortgages protection insurance which many cannot afford this is the reality so unfair.
@Sam92704237
Hang in there the new norm is crap. I’m 23 months into LC and I’m on day 4 of my 3rd infection plenty fluids ibuprofen multivitamin and rest I’ve been sent to my room and my supplies are being left at the door the joys my 15 year old can now turn on washing machine only bonus😂
Well as a healthcare worker I get my covid vaccine at 1.30 today. I will post every day to let you know how I’m doing with my fatigue and muscle and joint pain and if I have a reaction. Just hopefully to reassure long haulers about having vaccines.
@JolyonRubs
Brexit was a vote to stop the EU from inter fearing with whatever grubby policy’s the government wants to push through without being ethically challenged by them.

It’s not just women men have been drugged and assaulted but men are probably less likely to report incidents than women so it’s a less known danger but it’s real & important you report anyone you see putting anything in a drink.
@SarahOC_MECFS
@ShaneyWright
I would of suggested even though you know he is extremely over worked with the pandemic you would appreciate it if he did his reading on PANS before he ruled it out and falsely diagnosed there was something psychological instead of physically wrong.
@carrol2_j
You need to ring your GPS surgery and request an emergency care package. Explain your situation and tell them you are unable to access basic needs and personal care
I’m fed up sick of being tired. Physically I ache everywhere. I do my 2 night shifts and take 3 days exhausted to recover. I wake up because my joints are stiff ibuprofen my best friend. I want to feel well again!
@lmrlmrlmr
It’s crap hun. I tested positive 2 years ago this Wednesday the start of my LC fight. I’ve had covid 3 times now each time it floors me and robs me of a bit more of myself but I keep getting up taking the pain killers and ibuprofen and carrying on we have to
@NeedMoreCourage
@LongCovidHell
@Lucygraves43
@Never_Tory_SOS
I’ve had covid 3 times as a health care worker 1st and 3rd time our care home had full doors closed outbreaks and 2nd time I went for my 1st covid vaccine at one of our sister homes and myself and nearly all our staff then tested positive so all 3 of my infections work related
@UnwantedGuest3
They have no idea! I was talking to one of my colleagues last night her daughter has just had her second bout of covid in 4 months She said she was getting a fluttering sensation in her chest she has lost weight & is overly tired she’s 14 I said GP ASAP sounds like Long covid 😟
@ahandvanish
The world health organisation were aware of the long term effects of sars covid 1 when covid 2 broke out in 2019 as research had been ongoing and published for years
@Sam92704237
I work in care so I’m exposed even with PPE LC slows your life down just make sure you spoil and pamper yourself a little. Don’t let LC define who you are. be the best you you can be despite LC.
Long covid do you think your life expectancy has been shortened? Do you feel older in years than you did before? Do you feel treating covid like the flu is going to shorten life expectancy’s over the next 30 years?
@DavizHarrid
@PaulTTEaster
Well they are testing the mandatory 💉 out on health care workers because they think care staff are easier to replace than doctors & nurses. forgetting it’s rubbish pay & you get to clean up other people’s 💩 while they are trying to claw your eyes out not all tea & sympathy
@statsjamie
I am a senior carer the only one left on nights except agency I have seen too many friends and family unwell after this booster I’m not risking being off work unpaid for over a week every 3 months because I’ve got to have a booster I will go work at bookies or a supermarket.
@preshitorian
I feel exactly the same I have converted my laundry room into an office for my 2 girls I see a care home scenario in the making. I have told my older daughter if she goes back and doesn’t feel safe I’m pulling her out. God help the teachers.
@CovidSolidarit1
People do not understand Long covid if it hasn’t touched them personally. This leaves you trying to find a simple explanation to a complexed issue. Viruses like covid can attack your body causing damage to your body and organs some don’t heal leaving disabilities.
30 hours since I had Oxford vaccine no fatigue crash, no more aches and pain than my usual day, no headache brain fog blurred vision or temp today which I have sometimes so so far so good.
Does anyone else suffer with tenderness of the scalp? it comes and goes sometimes feels like my scalp moving been ignoring it but just washed my hair and it’s as sore on top of my head as if I’d given it a bump.
@Toffeewolfie
@neuroticgremlin
Whatever the argument it’s not safe to leave a young woman out on the street late at night without even giving her the decency to at least lend her taxi fare
Went to B&Q bought 5 plants and potted them into 2 large tubs. In my front garden I’m knackered back wrecked. I’m just not the same woman I was before covid. I’ve gone from super woman to old lady.
@PlanetEarth_HD
Well I did say this would happen there are more a symptomatic and mild cases in child so they are going home and infecting the whole household. There’s no bubbles no social distancing no masks no proper ventilation basically covid breeding pits
@calirunnerdoc
I swear covid went after my kidneys I had the exhaustion the joint & muscle pain but I had lower back pain and I looked slightly yellow for a couple of days which frightened me the most don’t be fooled covid didn’t just go after the lungs it went for everything
@DrMark_Faghy
I would have asked for a cleaner in there to disinfect at the very least how disgusting. I have bought covid home 3 times from working in care home outbreaks but my 2 girls have been covid free. Ventilation distancing disinfectant and masking
@calirunnerdoc
I keep saying don’t mention long covid go in and say I have back pain I have fatigue I have x y z & get them to look at each problem as if covid hadn’t happened. Get them to run the tests they would of done for your symptoms before covid
@1goodtern
We are expected to work excessive hours to afford the basics, a home food & heating. Then when we work ourselves into the ground just to survive our healthcare is going unmanaged & Our pension age is being pushed up so we are probably not going to live to see it.
@CovidSolidarit1
Spoke to my daughter today girl in her office had covid just after Xmas and she has tested positive again with full symptoms. If people going to keep getting reinfected that quick chances of long covid will increase.
@headi420
@obama_I_miss
@alexmeshkin
@tedlieu
They are gaslighting all of us everywhere omricon may be milder but if people are repeatedly reinfected what will the cumulative and long term effects be they do not know or care & vaccines are not stopping reinfection & we obviously are not producing enough antibodies
@NjbBari3
@fitterhappierAJ
You can google follow up on sars 2005 and the reaserch showed that some peoples recovery was measured in years not weeks just like long covid why do you think China went for an aggressive No covid policy
@MarinaPurkiss
I caught covid from an end of life resident I didn’t know had covid. Covid that was bought into the home by untested brand new NHS bed blocking residents untested non symptomatic & discharged into our care home from hospital. I have long covid now.
@dave_democracy
@beezley_pam
@BarbaraMcMahon8
I ran out of my care home with a fire extinguisher to help a young guy who’s car was on fire outside one night. Who would stand and watch when you have a fire extinguisher next to you sad world and it’s getting worse
@cashsith
@oneuvakind
Nearly a hundred children have died in America my kids aren’t going back to school for first few weeks until I know it’s safe. I’ve had the virus and I was that ill I updated my will I thought I was going to die. If anything happened to my girls I would never recover
@DominicMoss13
Don’t open with LC open with your symptoms get the medical brain focused on what he would for anyone else leave the I have had these symptoms since covid until the end.
@preshitorian
Education should be free for all especially in low paying careers. My kids have reached the more independent age 11&14 I’m 50 would love to do my nursing degree but no grants no bursaries and at 50 31 years in dementia care I’m not going 27 grand plus in debt to work for crumbs
@preshitorian
Some experts are saying up to 3 years for some of us. Not a great thought another year and a half but I will take that over never. I just thank god I’m not bed bound like some of our friends who post my ❤️ goes out to them along with my 🙏. Finish that arch I piece a day, win!
@onlylight210
@LaurieD97
Hope you have a better time than uk disabled they treat disabled like criminals under interrogation here puts a lot of struggling people who don’t like asking for help anyway off asking for help. Good luck hope your treated better
@elisaperego78
@LongCovidCanada
I am just waking up from a 22hr crash. 19 months of disrupted sleep and fatigue crashes various joint & muscle pains that come and go in different places. Most long covid sufferers Are lucky to just have fatigue but many are struggling to get diagnosis for more server conditions
@MufcGOATX20
@neuroticgremlin
At least have the decency to lend them taxi fare not be Vindictive enough to risk their safety by leaving them alone at 1am on the street. Man or woman being mugged rapped or murdered isn’t your problem i suppose when YOU dump someone
@long_covid
@fearnley_k
No I’ve worked12 hour night shifts most of my life this isn’t just tiredness it feels like you havent slept for days when you have only been awake for a few hours. If your energy levels were a battery everything you do would be draining 3 x your usual energy.
@preshitorian
Taking away our physical ability to do what we need or enjoy is soul destroying. I’ve always been strong and never Ill never caught flue picked up bugs nothing then covid just destroyed me 16 months of everything aching everything exhausting but people are slowly recovering !
@UKLabour
Benefits are the minimum you are supposed to be able to survive on ! Frozen for nearly a decade ten years of price rises not accounted for. Fuel &food prices set to rise dramatically. £20 won’t cover a working families 10 year price rise work it out that’s why we have food banks
@ScottishUQT
@thetimes
Sorry but the person who has been wronged is being hurt twice I would of invited them both told them this is your home and either one start trouble that person will be asked to leave
@WendtheWalker
And we are sitting here watching while innocent civilians are putting their family’s on trains to Poland where they are being welcomed with open arms and we have closed visa applications to the uk
@katemeredithp
Devastated for you! UK government wants to send our kids back I’m terrified my kids will get sick and end up like me with lasting symptoms. I can’t have my older daughter round for a cup of tea but I can send my kids to school ?
@CoireR
@elinlowri
Don’t do it I managed 1 night shift after 14 days off. I collapsed in shower getting ready For second shift I was off for another 4 weeks I have long covid now. I struggle to do 2 nights a week now 17 months on. Really don’t push it covid will kick your backside
Had covid vaccine Sunday at 1.30pm did my care staff covid test Wednesday at 8pm and just had alert I have tested positive I only leave the house for work ? Is the vaccine giving me a false positive or have I got covid again ? Feel sick now
@Andrew78505925
@Afanasiew
Germany’s manufacturing economy relies heavily on Russian gas. Every individual country is putting their economy before the lives of these poor people. Residents having to stand alone against soldiers with tanks and rockets god help them.❤️🙏
@LongCovidHell
@Debs_Kropotkin
As long as parents are able to work pay taxes and contribute to the economy they will keep the schools open as workers can’t work without child care and the economy is all they care about not our children’s future life expectancy they won’t be here to see that
@AlanHorrox
@preshitorian
He wouldn’t of got in our home without doing an LFT test don’t care who he is. We have to do one before ever shift and no visits without one.
@MarinaPurkiss
They say they are going to invest in training for more social care workers. There’s a shortage because it’s unsocial hours days nights bank holidays 10/12 hour shifts for minimum wage outside London is currently £8.91 an hour.Being assaulted is part of the job get on with it.
@michaelmina_lab
It’s taking days to for SOME not all people to show positive on LFT tests people with symptoms are getting negative LFTs but positive PCR tests. So would advise if you have all the symptoms to do a PCR test to be on safe side
@french_steve64
@ladybie11
Needs a cross party review committee to review all MP expenditures they should be tightening their belts they are asking people on unmanageable pay not to ask for pay rises so I think theirs should be suspended as well
@Dr_DeanS
You shouldn’t have to choose between a job & the welfare of your marriage. A stable home life should be seen as an advantage. Some concessions should be made for married couples both in the profession so you can at least live in the same home as working shifts 7 days a week.
And it’s safe for kids in uk to go back to school no social distancing no masks 30 kids to a class and teens have different classmates according to the subject options they have chosen as a parent I’m actually frightened and god help the poor teachers put their unions in classes
My 12 y/o is officially a Covid
#longhauler
and is being referred to a pediatric cardiologist in Boston. I’ll be damned if anyone else tells me it a hoax when my child and others are dealing with this as too.
#longcovid
48 hours post Oxford vaccine small thumb print red patch where had vaccine and still feels bit bruised but no other effects. If anything my eye sight feels slightly less blurry when reading. Had to get reading glasses post covid
@Depheruk
Age concern may be able to get someone out to go through her finances. Many local councils have crisis funding. Some have support for practical help with modifications and home repairs for those who need those. organisations like age concern are aware of localised assistance
@j_b_kennedy
Very easy to be paranoid with long covid just spent 5 weeks with my hand strapped up couldn’t make a fist. Prescription anti inflammatory didn’t touch it and pain was awful last 4 days it’s almost better on it own. Will be something else in a few weeks no doubt.
@Ian_NotMyCircus
@Dr2NisreenAlwan
But people are being reinfected within weeks how many times can we be reinfected before it starts to cause long term damage
@BrianKiely2
@mildanalyst
Never they don’t care who dies as long as it doesn’t effect GDP it’s all about growing the economy they don’t care who goes cold, hungry, or dies from covid or poverty!
@HumanRights4UK
@itittatwifey
Unfortunately care home owners are taking mandates seriously there was a note in our staff room for bank staff to produce proof of double vaccine by 11th November or no mor shifts. I was woken up after a night shift last Friday are you coming in for your booster thats next agenda
20hrs after having Oxford vaccine 2 inch slightly tender patch around vaccine sight no bruising or redness. Joints ached a bit more when got in bed but I slept well. My head doesn’t feel as foggy as usual this morning but joints as stiff as every morning temp normal no crash
@Sarasearching
So sorry isolate them in their rooms let them use the nearest bathroom if you have 2 if not antibac after they use wear a mask everyone else use the other one. Mask and gloves when delivering food collecting laundry etc wash straight away for 10 days.
@YouAreLobbyLud
Population control reduce life expectancy by damaging as many people as possible put up the pension age so that everyone dies before they qualify
Well 5 days post Oxford covid vaccine. Arm still a bit achey but getting better. Work mate with asthma same achey arm but no other symptoms. Still have my usual aches and pains but no fatigue crash this week and just done 2 night shifts so far no problem with vaccination.
@1goodtern
Don’t mention LC go in with a list of your symptoms how you got them shouldn’t be a factor fatigue is fatigue chest pain is chest pain let them do the tests they would do for everyone else. sufferers have been gaslit & told its all in their heads don’t put a label on yourself
@kat_breslin
@Sam92704237
Improvement is slow with LC but as long as you look after yourself and stay positive. LC sufferers are often called long haulers. I try to limit talking to friends about how crap I feel I want the news gossip & laughter I keep my LC for those who want to share our fails & wins
@drphilhammond
@mbklee_
If the government reduced poverty and the need for food banks people may have a healthy lifestyle and might be able to actually afford fruit veg and fresh food instead of whatever processed food is cheapest to fill a plate. Poverty breeds poor health
@JameS_007UK
@UKLabour
No they get to keep 37p in the £1 for overtime so on £9 an hour that’s £3.33 an hour so 6 hours overtime and they only get up to 70% of childcare costs so 70% of 6hrs childcare costs plus travel to work for 6 hours. Means they are worse off for working 6 hours extra would you?
@ElianaUku
My nerve induction tests have just come back with moderate carpal tunnel damage to both hands never had a problem before covid I was putting up sheds and building pergolas never a twinge
@C19LH_Advocacy
A drop in the ocean $ wise but at least an acknowledgement that long covid is a growing problem that needs funding and research. If there was a chance of a miracle drug big pharma would be throwing millions into research and treatment.
@BBCLauraKT
I think these hotels should justify their charges to ensure that they are not making excessive gains on what they would’ve expecting to make ordinarily even at pre pandemic capacity which would be higher than now.
@PutrinoLab
@LongCovidCanada
I have long covid from covid in May 2020 before vaccines were available so are vaccines causing long covid or are vaccinated people just getting covid without symptoms then going on to have long covid? People without symptoms have tested pos on routine tests then have long covid
@Gileragirl
Cannon fodder for the recovery of the economy. People can’t pay taxes if they can’t work, because they are stuck at home without child care. They don’t want to spend money on testing ventilation and masking so we just leave them to sink or swim, not good.
@CovidSolidarit1
@mitchlafon
And you say your not relevant you don’t have purpose there are people out here that you have helped and had kind words for many times your at your lowest and you send hugs for others at there’s don’t give up your due some good luck from somewhere
@DKM969
@WrongJill
Having the knowledge that the roof over your head is safe is a great feeling in these troubled times is a blessing. My mother always said priority 1 a roof over your head. 2 no debt bills paid 3 food on the table & clothes on your back, everything else is a bonus
@sitnspin
I caught the first variant providing mouth care to 1 dying man in the first wave. I did only have a surgical mask gloves and a plastic apron, but it wasn’t the Delta variant I wasn’t ventalating people for 70hrs a week in a room full of covid. Health carers have and will die 4 us
Are they for real new symptoms of long covid! We have been screaming for help with these symptoms for 2 years not so much the bowel incontinence and erectile dysfunction but they are rather private symptoms many would not wish to share on Twitter
