@bartlebooth45 it’s the camera use. all AI can do is render a character and zoom in slowly, and that’s what the “AI shots” here do. the little alien guy also looks pretty smoothed over, but from what i’m hearing good job to the crew for doing it practical.

@fellawhomstdve actually kinda the opposite. a self-condemning film that slams that idea: the scene where the mayor has his daughter recite a quote as if it’s the smart, correct way only for her to correct him and say he doesn’t follow his own quotes?

@SparkdaPhilly @52ndstreets the very premise of vault tec as a “safety shelter” company that feeds on war and literally feeds INTO war is anti-capitalist satire. this is incredibly obvious, and they’re in every single game.

@BrndnStrssng most disc purchases are 480p dvds and if your effects look good on 480p they’re great effects. they’re awful if they’re awful in 480p really. more about texture and lighting than fidelity. just adding to your statement, but i totally agree.

you people scour the walls for logic and rationale and somehow forget the thing right in the center of the room: the heart of the film. the emotion. the passion behind the moving image. cinema is a language of emotion, not a math test.

@cacmrg i have a conspiracy theory that all the negativity aimed at coppola a day before his big premiere is an attempt at holding hollywood in the monopoly it stands at. if an independent filmmaker puts $100m into a film and makes big, it means filmmakers dont need the studios.
