@tomhfh The real reason to hate on modernism is that we’re stuck in an aesthetic timecapsule (preserving the look without the politics) not that it’s a bad aesthetic. Modernism promised a future it didn’t deliver, but we should recapture that energy of forward progress.

@JakeAnbinder As an older student I find it insane that people use docs, it’s only good feature is collaboration, in all other aspects of being a word processor it is far worse than Word. The auto saving features in OneDrive are just as good as Docs and far more intuitive cross-generationally.

One aspect of car culture that isn’t often addressed is how much it sucks to have to rely on driving to travel inter-city. No other form of transportation requires you to be continually focused for hours or else you die. @TheWarOnCars

@maybe_dan_ The thing people don’t realise is we’re talking about essentially a rural zoned area and not a dense walkable community. Fix the density, and obviously more walkable oriented design is necessary. But this is America, and this is not an exceptionally bad case (ie all of its bad)
