At Harvard, so many students "diversify career risk" by joining a bunch of professional organizations. People often say there's just too high of an opportunity cost to commit to one thing. I bet many of them underestimate the risk of NOT committing deeply to something.

4. Seek fulfillment, not pleasure. Fulfillment is sustained. Pleasure is transitory. Working on this newsletter, pulling late nights, sometimes I asked myself, “Why?” Most seniors were taking it easy and having fun. But I had a reason that I was content with - I felt fulfilled.
