we have many exciting things planned for 2024, come help us build it in SF!
- distributed systems
- product engineering
- design (visual and product)
- developer relations
Up until this point, I've led design at
@trychroma
but as we grow, we need someone who is entirely, obsessively, focused on designing our brand, product, and our future design practice itself.

I gave a ~8 minute talk at Bloomberg Beta on Tuesday for SF Tech Week and many people asked for the code.
Nothing too crazy, but is a gentle introduction to projecting, clustering, and creating ontologies for embeddings

if this goes well it will be on the front page of the internet for weeks
Master theses provide some of the best introduction to topics. 1. not too long, 50-150 pages, 2. not too jargon filled, 3. not too opinionated, 4. show the progression of thought through time, 5. many references for branching off (more benefits i'm sure!)
The company is defined by the people.
The people are chosen by the interview process.
Here is what a recent candidate said about Chroma's interview process.
Really proud of our team's dedication to craft in all things.

Some big news to announce. We've sold our prosthetics and orthotics product to Össur!
@StandardCyborg
team is continuing on to build the tools to build, test, and deploy machine perception applications.
My advice to engineers starting out:
Find an important open source project on the way up and fix a bunch of issues and then go cold email a bunch of startups you know use that open source project.
Langchain or Chroma are a couple to start with
AI is currently in the "time-sharing mainframe" stage - but soon we will have a "PC on every desk" - and then things will get very interesting, very quickly
Very excited to share something that we have been working on in secret at
