Actually a lot of middle class people do ride buses and my hot take is that many people who actively choose not to ride the bus only do so because they’re intimidated by it in a way they aren’t with the train. If they knew how to ride the bus they’d probably do it.

I haven’t really said much about this here, but my mom has been sick for the past few years. She recently had to have a surgery and unfortunately was never really able to recover from it. She passed away this morning and is finally free of the pain. Love you, mama.

Upper 30s/low 40s are the worst temperature because if you’re not doing anything it’s cold and you need a fairly heavy jacket but the second you start moving at all it’s too hot in the jacket. But if you take it off it’s too cold. Don’t even suggest a lighter jacket.

To say we’re having a rough start to 2024 would be an understatement. Izzy had surgery today to remove a lump near her tail. The removal was successful, but we won’t know for a bit what it was and the recovery is going to be hard on us both.
