@ErringtonAaron NLS as has already been mentioned is designed to support the transition from in-utero to ex-utero life, ie emphasis on lung inflation (chest rise), EPALS is designed to resuscitate in cardiac arrest, yes, hypoxia is a common cause of arrest but no the only cause in children!

@EdHill0 We continue to advise people to call 111, yet we fail to acknowledge the triage and dispatch model is totally unfit for purpose, thus overwhelming emergency ambulances, triage and re-triage of 111 and 999 MUST be addressed. Education, Triage, Dispatch and hub clinical support.

🚁 @thegrandappeal has been awarded £14,400 to help critically ill babies being transported via road/air to St Michael’s Hospital NICU. The grant from the Morrisons Foundation will fund a dozen specialist infusion pumps that will deliver vital medication to newborns 🚁

This means we have NO ambulances to respond in the community. Exacerbated by no hospital flow, inappropriate calls, under funded primary / social care
