I got a D- in undergrad linear algebra, it just seemed like extremely tedious accounting exercises.
Totally fell in love with graduate linear algebra -- it has lovely theory, ubiquitous use / hugely varied applications (ML, static analysis, complexity), neat generalizations, &c
