I'm finding these messages from new Labour MP's who have barely lived in their constituencies coming to terms with the realities they're constituents have lived with for years quite endearing...
6 February 1942 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Levie Swart, was born in Amsterdam.
In August 1942 he was deported to
#Auschwitz
and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber. His elder sister, Frouwke was killed with him.
F*ck me, I'm sorry if I see one more "fuming parent" having a pop at Welsh teachers and teaching unions whilst they've worked their bollocks off, without a break for weeks in the midst of a pandemic.... I'm a school governer, the health & wellbeing of pupils & staff come 1st.
This alligence to the king stuff is fantastic. They've completely miscalculated the impact it's having on accelerating anti royal sentiment. It could accelerate the end of the monarchy dramatically.
Honest to God, what is the point of Nicholas Witchell. An universally terrible journalist who appears to think his job is to protect the royal family not report on their activities.
For my English speaking friends. In Patagonia descendants of Welsh immigrants who arrived in 1865 seeking a better life still speak Welsh and attend a Welsh school 🙂🇦🇷🏴

I lost my mum during covid, I wasn't comforted by the nation and a team of staff. I didn't go to her funeral, had to watch it on TV. He is an incredibly privelaged individual who doesn't have to worry about anything. He was like this before his mum died.
Dewi Lake comes from an English speaking household. His parents had the vision to give him a Welsh medium education despite this involving travelling by bus every day to Pontycymer then Llangynwyd from Ogmore Vale. Thousands of parents make this choice, diolch to you all. 🏴🏉
A fish and chip frier from Llangynwyd near Maesteg. It sat in a front room of Mrs Tompkins terraced house from where she sold fish & chips from 1947 to 1981. Manufactured by Preston & Thomas of Caroline Street in Cardiff, yes THAT Caroline Street, between 1915 &1920
I have no issues with an all English line up for ITV's coverage of the England game tonight, I'm sure we'll get all Welsh and Scottish panels for their games...
@Huntress_Jess
Probably plenty of people in Pembrokeshire, including Labour members, who would have preferred someone with stronger local ties and knowledge.
Here's a thought. Maybe stop calling Reform voters thick and racist, maybe listen to them and respond to their thoughts and fears with facts delivered in a kindly fashion....
Remember community hospitals that used to exist in smaller towns and rural communities? Places where older and vulnerable people could be discharged from large hospitals in towns and cities to convalesce before returning to their homes? They'd be really handy now.
@chelseahartisme
It's a performance in which he plays a character. The whole point is to show how dangerous fascism is. He's been doing it for years and its contextualisation is really important.
@BorisJohnson
A backbench MP ignoring his day job of representing those who elected him. Who allowed Russian interference in UK politics and made the son of an oligarch a lord... He doesn't care about Ukraine.
A year ago my mother was dying 170 miles away in Wrecsam. We watched the funeral via video 5 hours after the service had taken place. We followed the rules to protect ourselves & others in society. I'm not being prissy, I'm disgusted at anyone who defends this corrupt government.
'Are we really so prissy a piece of cake being brought into a meeting is considered sickening?'
Guto Harri says 'we're losing our sense of perspective' when it comes to the revelations around Boris Johnson's birthday.
@NickFerrariLBC
Just don't get the hate directed towards
@Wrexham_AFC
. They're in an incredibly fortunate position of having owners who "get it". They're people of modest means compared to the oil fuelled owners of some clubs. And last time I checked they haven't murdered a journalist IRL.
@SimonInfuriated
I'd rather it was Plaid Cymru, but I'm sure there are some excellent people who understand the community they grew up in and represented them at some level within the Labour Party in Pembrokeshire
Travelled from Pontycymer to St Ffagan this morning. Some 30 mph zones are now 20 mph, so it's clearly not a blanket introduction as falsely claimed by Welsh Tories. It had zero impact on my journey time and the 20 mph limit was observed by many. I wasn't constantly
The likes of Pearce, Pearson, Crimes and Oakshott coming out in support of a now confirmed bully and using it as a stick to beat the civil service tells you everything you need to know. Their livelyhoods rely on causing division and hate, it's literally their business model...
@thatcymraes
@JonGullisMP
To the contrary. He knows his political career is finished so he's spending the rest of his time at Westminster auditioning for a job with Talk/GB TV.
Listening to Anas Sarwar talking about performance of SNP Government, makes difficult listening for Labour in Wales where the situation following 24 years of Labour Government is far worse...
In Cardiff this pm. The capital of Wales dying on its arse. Empty shops aplenty... If this was on the continent people would be living above these shops? Work from home the norm? Convert offices into homes. Welsh towns and cities would thrive.
We are now entering really dangerous territory. The Conservatives are now stating as fact that they are against policies that don't even exist. They have been in power for 13 years, they are the government. And their leader in Wales continually amplifies these lies...
What's clear with the 20mph business is that it's angered the people who were attracted to the antivax theories, climate change deniers, right wing balloons and blue tick knobheads. Muting them all 😂
Played like fiddles.... Tories got their PR
@Wrexham_AFC
got nothing. The decision tells you everything about Tory hopes of Atherton keeping her seat after the next election...
Absolutely disgusting the scenes of the mob outside Mark Drakefords home. In a week where he welcomed protest. Shouting abuse outside someone's private residence isn't protest. It's harassment.
Over the weekend new statistics on the number of Welsh speakers were published. It was covered in Welsh on BBC Cymru Fyw, but not in English by BBX Wales News. Meanwhile this gets reported....
A rare white squirrel wowed locals when it was spotted in a street in Caerphilly county
It's estimated there's only 50 of them in the UK - including this one filmed outside Ystrad Mynach's library

Think about this the next time you see a Senedd member or MP who just happens to be stood outside an executive box at the millennium stadium holding a free bottle of beer on TV. They're not sat in a seat they paid for, they're there at someone's expense.
Bridgend town centre dying on its arse like countless others. Towns on continent always seem vibrant by comparison. Why? Is it because people live in them? Why don't we live in these spaces?

Yes you're right, sitting in my arse complaining about pens and angrily gesticulating for servants to do stuff for me. That's beyond me...
The leader of the official opposition in the Senedd and the party who received 26% of the popular vote openly lying to the public. There are no taxes on meat, never have been. The prime minister, yes PRIME MINISTER made it up. Yet no mention of this lie in the Welsh media....
Ask yourselves this.... How does an account set up a month ago with 60 odd followers, and has only tweeted twice get a false propoganda message retweeted 4,000 times leading to 1.1 million views....?
How patronising. It's very easy to be a fan of the union when your country makes up 84% of it and benefit greatly from it. If a majority of people in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales wish to change that relationship it should be respected.
The good news for Welsh Medium schools is that the Victorian built schools they inherited as hand me downs, when the previous English Medium school moved out into their new builds, will still be standing in 100 years. A bit of rising damp, but no exploding concrete.
incredible. No wonder people in Wales struggle to engage with Welsh politics when the UK media place the resignation of the most powerful politician in Wales second to that of a football manager who failed to win anything in 8 years of trying.
So,
@BBCNews
at 6pm clearly thinks the resignation of a football manager is more important than the resignation of the First Minister of Wales. Shocking!
I wonder what the top priorities of Pembrokeshire people are? Jobs? Housing? Local public transport? Or direct trains to London? Or is this just of interest to Henry? And why would that be? So.... many...... questions......
When it stops being about showing gratitude to people who risk their lives in order to keep us safe and becomes propoganda for racists who detest many of those on the front line, it needs to stop.
We've seen UKIP/Brexit/Reform in action in Wales. They contributed NOTHING to Wales and its development and progression during the 5 years they had representatives in the Senedd. They talk about change, they deliver nothing.
"And they need our money". This is the attitude that visitors to Wales need to change. We're seen as a playground that should be grateful for patronage. When I go on holiday to France I don't think about the local/National policy.I thank them for allowing me into their community.
It's great that Wales Online have finally grown a pair and started opening the eyes of people in Wales to what's happening around them. Most of the credit, deservedly, goes to Will Hayward. Makes you wonder what Wales would be like if Will had been round 20 odd years ago.
@secrettory12
I didn't visit my mother in her last days earlier this year, I hadn't seen her in person for over a year before that. I was doing the right thing. The fact these cowards deny any wrongdoing makes my blood boil.
🏴It's the "biggest Welsh takeover in Number 10 since the Tudors" says Boris Johnson on the appointment of Welsh-speaker Guto Harri to the position of No10 Director of Comms.
I watched my mothers funeral on TV hours after it actually took place, because it was the right and responsible thing to do. Listening to the prime minister today makes my blood boil.
I love the way the presenter thinks he's served a slam dunk, nonchalantly slipping on his glasses without making eye contact, only to be then have his arse served to him on a plate by
@campbellclaret
Yesterday I saw umpteen messages sharing a view from a "journalist" based in Wales claiming "The Welsh" wanted lock down rules relaxed like in England. The person is sharing conspiracy theory videos & RT'ing PJ Watson. These people crave attention, they are dangerous. Don't share

UK further away, more difficult to sell into, notorious for underpaying for fruit and veg. Why bother taking what you've got across the channel. If there's a shortage, better to sell what's available to your partners in EU....

Spoke to a lady in
@StFagans_Museum
today who started on her Welsh language journey 3 years ago. She thought her Welsh was terrible when in fact it was beautiful. Wherever you are on your Welsh language journey pop down to St Ffagan, we're more than happy to siarad Cymraeg 👍🏼
Radio 4 Front Row discussing Wrecsams city of culture bid. A town to the south of Chester. Why the need to frame places in Wales with a reference point in England.
It's in the north east of Wales.
This is fantastic and terrifying in equal measure. The confidence displayed by the anti vaxxer in delivering her stream of BS, learnt from quacks online. The sad thing is, even when confronted with this, it won't change their minds
Rubbish! S4C was six years, yes SIX, Ahead of John. This programme went out in 2009 and included an interview with Alan Bates. People knew and were openly discussing the issue when the Tory/Lib Dem coalition were in power and Davey a Post Office minister.

Trouble At The Post Office in August 20I5 had a Fujitsu whistleblower who said Horizon computer generated errors. This was the first time outsiders knew for a fact the Post Office was lying. So it is unfair to criticise

Radio 4 reporting on the incredibly serious situation in Wales regarding the First Minister and his recent actions as if he was the chair of a parish council near Tewkesbury...
Mark Drakeford apparently unaware that countries like Ireland, Iceland and Estonia are capable of sourcing their own PPE.
If Wales had looked inwards and followed the lead of Ceredigion County Council we would have seen fewer deaths, instead we followed SAGEs advice for too long
Down 1 stone. Only another 9 to go before I can be considered for the operation at Morriston to repair my multiple hernias. This is huge progress for me after putting on 5 and a half stone during lock down and my state of mind during that time.
Independent. Sovereign. Free.
Congratulations Ukraine, on your 32nd Independence Day.
The United Kingdom stands with you today, as we have done from the very beginning.
This to me sums up Wales, the lack of ambition and vision lacking from all walks of the public sector... Bus stations aren't just functional, they're places where thousands of people pass through, places to create an impression...
Hi
@DKShrewsbury
the nearest beach to Shrewsbury is on The Wirral in England, so no need for you to darken our wonderful country with your presence......
In an independent Wales, the people of Wales will decide who governs. Whatever shape or form that government takes. It won’t be our neighbours choice. And that is the important thing.
One benefit from the Senedd results should be better governance. It will be filled with people who take their jobs seriously. Losing the disruptive freeloaders from committees will be a big boost.
