Watch our first ad! Growing up, I spent every day on the ice & never could have imagined a world where MAGA extremists would be pushing a national abortion ban.
In Congress, I'll fight for abortion rights & take action on the climate crisis, because we don't have time to waste⛸️
From rising costs to abortion rights to the climate crisis, the challenges we face extend beyond the borders of our state. So must our solutions. I'm running for Congress to bring my vision for bold, transformative action to D.C. I'm honored to have Rep.
@DerekKilmer
's support.
Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign over these last nine months. It has been an amazing journey.
I’ve called
@EmilyRandallWA
to congratulate her on her historic primary win, and it is time for all of us to work harder than ever so we can flip the House.
As a congressman Dave Reichert voted in line with Trump 92.5% of the time, including taking extreme anti-choice positions. He’s out of touch with Washington.
🚨BREAKING NEWS: We've been endorsed by the
@seattletimes
!
"Franz spearheaded a visionary plan to prevent fires altogether — and to equip her agency to pounce quickly on ones that still do start. That kind of leadership is direly needed in Congress."
Thank you Rep.
@DerekKilmer
for your years of service to this district. I'm honored to have your support in my campaign to represent the communities we both care about so deeply.
I’m so excited to be here at the Edgewater in Seattle today to officially kickoff my campaign for governor, and honored by everyone who came out to join me!
#waelex
Anything I’ve ever done, whether it was running for city council or state lands commissioner or my law career, I’ve been told to sit quietly, wait my turn, and let the men ahead of me have theirs.
Never stopped me.
My dad taught me epic progress happens when you work together and put people first. I’m running because we're facing big challenges and anything shy of epic won’t cut it. I’m not a patient person – there’s a lot to do, and we can’t wait. Join our campaign:
And I reiterate my pledge to not transfer surplus campaign funds until the PDC is done updating guidelines to ensure campaign contribution limits are not violated. I hope all candidates do the same. Washingtonians deserve clean and fair elections.
One year ago today, we found ourselves in a changed America. SCOTUS' decision to overturn Roe v. Wade stripped away a freedom that was law for nearly 50 years and handed over our health care decisions to judges and politicians rather than women and their doctors.
I'm honored to have the support of Retired Representative Norm Dicks who represented the 6th Congressional District for 36 years. I look forward to carrying on his legacy of leadership.
Our first digital ad is out!
As a mother of 3 and a former rape crisis counselor, I know that nothing is more important than the right to control one’s own body.
I will fight to restore abortion rights nationwide & ensure that everyone can access affordable care.
It wasn’t luck that kept our wildfire season under control this year, it was preparation and teamwork. I'm incredibly proud of my department and the investments we made to be more proactive and resilient in the face of wildfires. 1/2
I support the PDC’s ruling to uphold campaign finance laws and fully apply them to this campaign cycle. Our laws are meant to ensure clean, fair elections. And the law applies to all of us.
At special meeting, Commission votes to require candidates transferring unspent contributions from a previous campaign to a new campaign for a different office to attribute those contributions to their sources…
Today’s verdict shows that no one in this country is above the law. Our democracy is strong when the law is enforced evenly and fairly — which is why we need to take back the House this November from MAGA extremists.
As the only woman in this race, I'm the only candidate who knows what it’s like overcoming roadblocks in a male-dominated career.
And I'm the only one with statewide executive experience tackling our problems headfirst while creating sustainable, good-paying jobs.
I had an amazing time last night at the Black & White Gayla for the Rainbow Center w/friends
@Olgy
and
@RyanMelloTacoma
. So much fun. In Congress I will always be a champion for our LGBTQ+ community and will throw my shoulder behind getting the Equality Act over the finish line.
The rise in abortions provided in Washington this year is proof that our challenges extend beyond our borders and so must our solutions. In Congress, I will fight for reproductive freedom and women’s access to health care.
I've never wanted to talk about this openly before. But our experiences shape how we see things, our values and our understanding of others. My experiences led me to start my career fighting for kids and survivors of trauma and abuse. This is one of them.
Gun violence is the leading cause of death for children and teens in Washington state and nationally.
We owe our young people a world free from the threat of gun violence. We owe them stronger gun laws.
⚡Big news! We raised over $415,000 in the first quarter of this year — the highest-ever Q1 raise for a candidate in our district.
This is the second
#WA06
fundraising RECORD set by our campaign — we also raised the highest-ever total in Q4.
Thank you to all of our supporters!
My statement on Larch Corrections Center and the ongoing conversation in SW Washington. We shouldn't unjustly and arbitrarily move a group of incarcerated individuals to a higher-security prison, kicking them out of degree and training programs in the process, to cut costs.
Today, on Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jewish people, including more than one million children, who were murdered in the Holocaust.
We have seen an alarming rise in antisemitism across our country and here in WA, & we must work to eradicate hate wherever it arises.
Thank you
@NWPCWA
! As the only woman in this race who has had their personal health care rights at stake, and as someone who knows what it's like to struggle to afford child care and adult care while juggling a career, this is personal to me.
When I become governor, I’ll bring this same urgency and creativity to the housing crisis. We can’t afford to wait for stalled programs and stale ideas to solve this pressing crisis.
Every corner of our state is facing a housing crisis. It requires an all-hands-on-deck approach. So as state lands chief, for the first time in our agency’s history, we started to transfer public lands to local jurisdictions to build affordable housing.
Our firefighters, including some who have lost their own homes, have been working nonstop and putting their lives on the line to fight wildfires threatening our communities. Please do your part to help them and help protect our state.
Today, on the second anniversary of the Dobbs decision, I’m more committed than ever to fight to regain our stolen rights.
In Congress, I’ll stand strong against a national abortion ban and will work to restore federal protections for abortion & IVF.
Matt was kind, curious and one of Tacoma’s most passionate advocates. His passing leaves a massive hole in the community he was so dedicated to amplifying and improving. I hope that legacy can help provide some comfort to his family.
Out-of-state Super PACs spent over $2.4 million to buy this seat. In the face of this unprecedented influx of dark money, we knew we faced an uphill climb – but thanks to our volunteers and supporters, this race is too close to call.
Thank you for supporting our campaign!
#WA06
Happy Father’s Day! Today I'm remembering my dad, a do-or-die union man, who, as a single father, raised me and my sister. He taught us the importance of community, service, and hard work. May all the dads out there have a wonderful day!
🚨A Trump-donor funded cryptocurrency Super PAC just bought $1.4 million in ads to support my opponent, Emily Randall.
This Super PAC spending is unheard of in
#WA06
. MAGA donors are meddling in our primary because they know I can’t be bought & will always stand with the people.
Erin Brockovich has been an inspiration to me for decades. She continues to motivate me to stand up and fight for what is right, no matter the obstacles. As she says, Superman isn’t coming—but do not worry—find the hero within you.
Yesterday, I met one of my heroes — the one and only Erin Brockovich.
In the early 90s, she inspired me to become an environmental attorney and fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. In many ways, I wouldn't be where I am today without the trail she fearlessly blazed.
Banning books telling LGBTQ+ and BIPOC stories, tells students they don’t belong in their classrooms & neighbors that they don’t belong in our communities. These aren’t just attacks on books, they’re attacks on people. And they have no place in our communities.
#BannedBooksWeek
“What bothers me about book banning the most is the message it sends. It tells young people, ‘Your life makes me uncomfortable. Nobody should hear about it. You should be silent.’”—

Democrats need to support Democrats, and we need to do it everywhere. Thank you
@IdahoDems
for having me! As border states, we need to work together to lift up working families and — critically — protect reproductive rights.
@washdems
Had a great time with the
@WWCountyDems
yesterday talking about my work to lift up ALL communities in Washington. It was especially sweet to also announce my endorsement by Walla Walla union fire fighters!
An effective leader needs focus, determination, and compassion. As governor, my priority will be bringing the same urgency, determination, and creativity to our state’s housing crisis that I’ve brought to fighting wildfires.
So glad to see more local work on salmon recovery! As state lands chief, I've protected our salmon by restoring habitat in the sound and prohibiting net pen aquaculture. This is the kind of work we need to protect our lands and tackle climate change.
A strong middle class is the cause of economic growth, not the result. As governor, I will always put the interests of workers and families first, because when they thrive, our economy and our communities thrive.
It’s been an honor to work with local firefighters. As governor I’ll continue to have their backs, and fight every day to ensure our firefighters have the resources, support, training and staffing they need to do their jobs effectively and return home safely.
I’ve seen the very best of Washington in my time as lands chief, and I’ve seen how we rise to the occasion in the face of crisis.
I know that we can come together now to tackle the challenges we face head-on.
I’m Hilary Franz, and I’m running to be your governor.
#waelex
We must keep Washington a beacon for reproductive freedom. As governor, I will fight to pass the Keep Our Care Act to prevent unregulated hospital mergers that reduce access to care, & ensure full enforcement of our Shield Law to protect women in WA and other states.
@ProChoiceWA
As lands and wildfire chief, I’ve had the privilege to work with and fight for the people who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe. I'm honored to have Spokane city and county firefighters with me as I run for governor.
Wishing everyone a safe and Happy 4th of July! Please do your part and be careful to be one less spark. Our communities, our lands and our firefighters thank you.
Oil companies are seeing record profits while families and small businesses struggle to make ends meet because of skyrocketing gas prices. We need more required transparency in the oil industry and we need to make sure oil companies are held accountable.
Washington is deep in the midst of a housing crisis, and far too many of our neighbors are struggling to pay their rent or mortgage or living outside.
Read my op-ed in
@UrbanistOrg
about the work I'm doing to increase housing affordability.
🚨BREAKING: The MAGA-funded Super PAC trying to buy this election for Emily Randall just reported spending nearly $1.5 million.
Don't let out-of-state Trump donor billionaires decide our election. Stand up for fair elections & rush a donation to us here:
Thank you
@PPAwest
for fighting for reproductive care!
I know from personal experience how important access to affordable reproductive care is. I'll always fight for reproductive freedom, strike down extremist attacks, and ensure that WA is a sanctuary for reproductive care.
One of the greatest privileges of my time as state lands chief has been getting to know and support so many heroic first responders. Their unwavering dedication in times of crisis save lives and inspire us all. On National First Responder Day and every day, we honor them.
I've been on the ground, building things on the ground, for more than 7 years as state lands chief, working to understand our communities' needs and how to deliver.
📣WA VOTERS📣 It’s time to turn in your ballot! Primary ballots are due on 8/1. While you can’t cast your ballot for me (yet!), every election matters and the outcome of this year’s local elections will have a huge impact on our communities.
💥“WE’VE CHANGED THE GAME”: TEAMSTERS WIN HISTORIC UPS CONTRACT💥
Today, the
#Teamsters
reached the most historic tentative agreement for workers in the history of
@UPS
, protecting and rewarding more than 340,000 UPS Teamsters nationwide.
#1u
Congratulations to
@BoeingFFs
who held strong and won better wages and protections!
I’m grateful that the lockout has come to an end — our first responders deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
Two of my sons attend Northwestern & I've now seen their schools go into lockdown four times due to gun violence on or near campus.
This should not be the norm. In Congress, I will work to pass common-sense gun violence prevention measures to keep our kids safe.
My mission has always been to fight for Washington workers and families. For the last 7 years, I’ve been working to protect our state's natural resources and use our public lands for public good. Now, I’m running to bring that same urgency and transformational action to Congress.
Are you on
#TeamHilary
? I'm running for Governor to make bold progress on the biggest challenges facing our state. But I need your help. If you believe in lifting up working families and creating a stronger, more united Washington please join our campaign!
As wildfire chief, I'm the only candidate with direct experience responding to climate disaster and making tough decisions when the stakes are high. I'll bring the same urgency to addressing climate change and building our climate resilience as governor as I have as lands chief.
Climate change is here. It will harm everyone, but disproportionately vulnerable populations. Washington needs a comprehensive plan to save lives and preserve the land we call home. More importantly, we need to act with urgency and efficiency.
.
@jessynfarrell
will be a progressive champion who puts action behind her values. Her ambitious agenda for housing, racial justice, and climate change will give Seattle the results the city needs. I’m proud to support her for mayor.
In Washington, we’ve reduced the size of the average wildfire by adding more aircraft to our fire fighting force. Last week, I traveled to DC to share our model with federal partners to help other states learn from our success.
I know we can address our greatest environmental and economic challenges at the same time. This project—the largest solar farm in the state—is just one example of my record of creating jobs while building robust clean-energy solutions.
Under my leadership as state lands chief, WA has reforested millions of acres, restored salmon habitats, and expanded sustainable industries, creating good-paying jobs along the way. I’ll bring this same creativity and urgency to the fight against climate change as governor.
I’m so proud to have the support of
@IAFF452
! One of the greatest honors I’ve had as state lands and wildfire chief is the opportunity to work with, and fight for, firefighters across our state. As governor, I’ll fight every day to ensure our heroes have the resources they need.
A great night at the
@ClarkCoDemParty
Ogden Dinner last night, celebrating with so many old and new friends our past and present leadership and all the hard work and successes of the past few years.
We have a moral obligation to make sure every family has a home and we absolutely *can* accomplish it. The instability of own childhood shaped who I am. It's why I'm not patient when it comes to protecting the most vulnerable—they don't have time to waste.
I’m so proud to be endorsed by
@IAFFLocal453
! As Commissioner of Public Lands, I’ve had the honor of working with, and fighting for, firefighters across our state. As governor, I’ll continue fighting every day to ensure our heroes have the support and resources they need.
Workers and families are at the heart of Washington’s success. When they do better, we all do better and our economy thrives. Together we can create a stronger, healthier, more prosperous Washington – not just for a few, but for every single person.
You've seen our ad about how I'll fight to defend abortion rights and take on the climate crisis in Congress – now here are the bloopers that didn't make the cut (wait till the end)!
Great to be back at the Bremerton Ice Center where I skated with my boys when they were kids⛸️
Representative Jake Fey is a dedicated public servant committed to building a healthier, more sustainable future for Washington state. I'm proud to have his support!
This wildfire season was a testament to my department’s All Hands, All Lands, All Together approach. We saw the second-highest number of fires start in state history, but only 165,365 acres burned — well below our 10-year average of 472,812 acres.
With Trump announcing ICE raids, and immigration rhetoric heating up, it's important to remember that real people's lives are at stake. People like Noe Vazquez. Noe is a wildland firefighter. He is also a DREAMer.
#NoBanNoWallNoRaids
I’m deeply honored that 16 of Washington’s 29 federally-recognized Tribes are supporting our campaign, and to have the endorsement of the WA Democrats Native American Caucus!
Thank you – I will always stand with Tribes to protect our lands & waters and uphold treaty obligations.
Politics didn’t lead me to hard-working people. Hard-working people led me to politics. On
#LaborDay
, let’s honor the workers that are the heart of what makes Washington great and the labor movement that has fought for fair working conditions and a stronger economy.
Our kids deserve to grow up free from the threat of gun violence. Today and every day, I commit to honoring the victims and survivors of Oxford with action.
Two years ago today, four students were killed and seven were injured by a 15-year-old student at Oxford High School in Michigan.
This year, Michigan lawmakers took historic action on gun safety, but more must be done. We will never stop fighting for the safety our kids deserve.
Ferries are an essential part of Washington. This federal funding will go a long way in keeping our existing fleet running safely and reliably. I’m committed to fighting for more investments like this to help ensure our families and economy can thrive.
The high cost of housing is a deeply personal issue: as a child, I faced housing insecurity.
As your Lands Commissioner, for the first time ever, we are working to build housing on public lands.
In Congress, I will make housing a top priority.
Grateful to have the endorsement of the Boeing Firefighters IAFF Local I-66 in this race. They are currently fighting for a fair contract and I join them in solidarity – firefighters keep us safe and they should be paid what they are owed.
My experience is what sets me apart from other politicians. I know what it’s like to work multiple jobs, to struggle to afford child care and elder care, to be underestimated. And I know that together, we can achieve the better future we all deserve.
Thank you for your endorsement,
@KeyPenFFs
!
Grateful for the work you do every single day to keep our communities safe. I will continue to always stand with you when I’m in Congress.
It has been seven years since a 19-year-old fired a semi-automatic assault rifle into a gathering of friends, killing three young people and wounding another. We are committed to continuing to fight in honor of Anna, Jake, Jordan, and Will for a safer future.
Emily Randall took maxout contributions from the Winklevoss twins in June. Then, they unleashed nearly $1.5m in spending from their Super PAC on our district.
Unlike Emily’s seven figure benefactors, I’m proud to support Kamala Harris for president.
Happy National Voter Registration Day! Are you registered? Have you moved since the last election? Do you know any young people who are newly eligible to vote? Do you know who will be on your November ballot? All the resources you need are at 🗳
Sadly, the vast majority of wildfires in our region are caused by humans. Heading into Labor Day weekend, our land is still very, very dry. Our firefighters have been working nonstop this summer to protect our communities.
Please do your part to keep us safe, be one less spark.
To date, nearly 85% of all fires in the NW are human caused and preventable. The upcoming heatwave and severe weather
will be difficult for everyone, but especially for firefighters. Let's give them a break and do our part to prevent any new human caused fires.
Thank you
@JoeBiden
for delivering for communities across
#WA06
— bringing much-needed infrastructure funding to rebuild our roads and bridges, address climate change, investing in our coastal communities to reduce tsunami risk, and lowering prescription drug costs.
Today, I was proud to join
@PPVNH
,
@ProChoiceWA
, and other groups to demand states
#stopthebans
. As a mother, I know that nothing is more fundamental than a women’s right to decide when to start or grow a family. These bans are extreme and put women and families in danger.
For the last seven years I have had the privilege of working in partnership with the Makah Tribe to steward Washington’s beautiful lands and waters. I am honored to have their support!
I'm deeply honored to have the support of Congressman Derek Kilmer and former Congressman Norm Dicks, and for standing with me amidst this torrent of unaccountable Super PAC money flooding into our race.
