this must have been yesterday 😂 kagum jugak first time masjid IIUM pukul 1.35 pm dah selesai solat Jumaat. typically habis 2 pm. walaupun azan 1.05 pm sekarang, khutbah usually starts 20 mins later. yesterday it started early + sermon was fairly short (and still bilingual!)

in BME when it comes to controlled drug delivery, we're usually taught about drug-eluting stents (rightfully so, given the tighter spatiotemporal req's) but I think contraceptive implants deserve similar focus in our syllabi: it's long-lasting, well-commercialized and effective.

cool thing about IIUM architecture: the mosque is a literal wayfinder. all faculties are built within walking distance around the IIUM mosque (in their centre), so the mosque is the most prominent landmark to find directions.

I may be presumptuous, but are you an undergrad, adik? nothing wrong with "having good rankings", but "mengejar ranking" can be bad depending on how you get there. our past rank-upping practices has been relatively inorganic, and that has to change before it starts being toxic.

as someone who did come home (and plans to leave again some time soon), my advice: build a proper ecosystem for our local talents first– ones who'd put more into nation-building. the diaspora had their reasons, they'll come home when they feel like it, appeals are unnecessary.

nota bahasa: terjemahan rasmi "dichroic filter" ialah "turas dikroik" (rujuk korpus MABBIM). "dichroic" came from Greek di- (twice) and khros (colour), hence I invented "dwirona" ("dua warna") because something cool deserves a better localisation than some loan word 😊
