I have written a novel called ‘Myself am Hell’ that features the epic poetry of John Milton as an antidote to the forms of tyranny we experience in our lives.
This is my novel of obsessive compulsive disorder and the hell it creates in people’s minds.

Great to hear this stated so explicitly by an expert, cutting through the nonsense that we are fed by politicians and the mainstream media (speaking from a UK perspective)
@GoodLawProject
Interesting that they are suddenly concerned about the cost of things, despite the ‘eye-watering’ amounts of public money spent on the failed test and trace scheme
‘Myself am Hell’ is a novel of OCD suffering and OCD hope.
It has a twist of the poetry of John Milton.
And a soundtrack of jangling Miles Davis rhythms.
for my blog posts on OCD and literature.

@respeak_uk
Is that from the Telegraph? I really think that publication just needs putting out of its misery. How can you have a reasonable discussion with someone who calls concern for children and innocent people being murdered, ‘anti-Israel hate’?
@ItsEmilyKaty
I’ve only just become comfortable talking about the rape and murder themes of my OCD thoughts. For a long time I would only talk about the obsessions in very general terms.
@GuillermElodie
Criticising the inhumane and genocidal actions of a government has nothing to do with religion whatsoever. Jewish people throughout the world have taken part in protests against the actions of this awful regime in Israel
My debut novel is ‘Myself am Hell’
It’s a personal tale of a lot of suffering and a lot of recovery from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
It’s also an exciting and entertaining literary odyssey with plenty of Miles Davis and John Milton
@LoxyFlo
Some of the most incredible “juggling” I’ve ever seen! He doesn’t even want credit for this heroism, but thank God the Daily Mail has rightly highlighted this regular guy doing some pretty damn extraordinary deeds!
@rolandhoskins1
An exploitation; a destruction; a fiffle, a faffle, and a spaffle; an Eton Mess; a prorogation; an unfitness; a work event; a catastrophe
@followthebounce
I noticed Rassie just stood at the back and left the players to soak up the moment. He seems like a guy players will run through walls for
Does anyone else in the OCD community have OCD dreams where that process of doubt and anxiety happens while you’re asleep? I see it as the unconscious mind processing the condition.

@PeterStefanovi2
I long for the day when I never have to hear the name Gillian Keegan again. She’s a disgrace to the Keegan name. And I would love it, love it if she loses her seat!
My debut novel is Myself am Hell
It’s an imaginative odyssey that shows the reality of living with obsessive compulsive disorder
Available on Amazon -
Please see for more information on the book and a link to my blog on OCD
@Sika_dm
Utterly bizarre, isn’t it. The way we we pretend these people are “normal” and have jobs and raise their own children. It’s this weird pretend game that the media want everyone to play

please consider this:
OCD is a mental illness
OCD ruins lives
Rather than saying you are ‘a bit OCD’, thank your lucky stars that you do not have this illness.
My novel, ‘Myself am hell’, is available on Amazon -

Alan: Can we talk about raiding the public purse for personal gain, even at the cost of destroying the planet, please?
Sir Rishisworth: I speak no other language
@lifewocd
Yeah, it’s not a condition that’s trying to achieve neatness and order; it’s trying to achieve chaos, misery, and the complete breakdown of all order and stability in people’s lives.
@MirabelTweets1
It’s at times like this, when it really matters how the country is being represented on the world stage, that the ridiculousness of having shallow, pointless people like Sunak and Grant Shapps in positions of power becomes very apparent
@MichelleMone
@RishiSunak
The two of you are saw the pandemic, when thousands of people were dying alone, as an opportunity to line your pockets with public money. Shame on Sunak and shame on you
@LeroySkeete
Easily. It started in 2010 with Cameron and Osborne and they began an erosion of everything decent and admirable about this country. They paved the way for May and Johnson and Truss and Sunak
@GoodLawProject
@JolyonMaugham
These are the sort of cushy little relationships that should be stamped out. Why were they paying him £20,000 a year for up to eight hours work per month? What did they think they were getting out of it?
@g_gosden
If you need someone to spew utter bollocks with zero self-awareness, and Grant Shapps is too busy pretending to be statesmanlike and important, enter Gillian!
@PeterStefanovi2
The more Johnson is called out on the nonsense he spews on a daily basis, the less he will get away with and the better chance the country has of returning to some sort of normal, functioning gvt. Great work!
@roykeanereviews
Ending up covered in marshmallow with all the lads is one thing at the Christmas party, but to do it in front of the world’s media is just nonsense. And at that level you’re telling me they’re still spending all the petty cash on a takeout? Embarrassing
@RussGascoigne1
That is absolutely textbook. I love it when the pavement rises in deference to an old tree, but when you add the postbox it’s a thing of beauty
@Hepworthclare
And so obviously callous and very unpleasant. It’s so easy to see that everything he says or does in public is a performance designed to mask the enormous void where a normal person has a soul
@MikeCook_author
Thank you!
Myself am Hell
A novel of John Milton and Miles Davis
A novel of fear in Afghanistan and loathing in Tokyo
A novel of OCD hurt and OCD hope
Falling Man is an intensely human response to a terrible, traumatic event.
We need the great writers to help us through turbulent times.
They understand what it is to be human better than anyone.
@recovery_your
Someone once described depression to me as “the grasshopper cannot jump”. As you say, it’s not necessarily feeling sad, it’s feeling that you can’t do the things you used to do without even thinking about it
@roykeanereviews
What’s the lad Slater doing? You’ve gotta keep arguments like that within the dressing room. I’d be kicking him in training or hitting him with one of those big bits of wood. Embarrassing
@GillianKeegan
You love another Tory out running for a publicity stunt (see Jeremy Hunt and the London marathon for another example) while making decisions that punish the vulnerable and drag this country’s reputation through the mud?
@OCDphilosophy
Being able to acknowledge and reflect on that trauma is so important. For years I just wanted to be “better” and “normal”. Now I’m accepting OCD as something I manage every day, and talking about the trauma I went through
@JasonPedlow
I’ve heard several people refer to the Olympics as the last moment of real pride in this nation. We are in the end game of what happens when a gang of thieves is given power.
For those of us with OCD, it’s always there to be managed. Sometimes it even feels like it’s gone away but it hasn’t; it’s the same sneaky condition, trying to create doubt.
With the right treatment we can learn to manage OCD so that it doesn’t control our lives.
Been reading this during my week off work. It made me think about duality and values through an OCD lens.
Does the evil committed by Hyde prey upon the values of Jekyll in the same way as OCD?
A key point is that Jekyll is guilty of the crimes of Hyde, unlike a person with OCD
@implausibleblog
@emir_kir
Suddenly she’s a fan of free speech and debate? Would not necessarily have picked that out as a defining feature of her time as Home Secretary
One of the many damaging effects of OCD can be avoidance of certain activities, places, people, and situations. This is just one of the ways in which OCD tries to take over people’s lives and dictate what we can and can’t do.
#ocd
#MentalHealthAwareness
Do unrealistic expectations lead to nihilism? And does accepting the world as it is, lead to happiness? The mind of a person with OCD can seem filled with sound and fury, but the journey to accepting the intrusive thoughts for what they are can be so rewarding
#ocd
#ocdawareness
When I learn about other people’s experiences with different sub-types of OCD to mine, I know that we have the same condition. The theme may be different, but the crippling doubt and anxiety and fear are the same. I value the OCD community because OCD wants to isolate us.
#ocd
@PeterStefanovi2
We must reach a point where the self-evident truths you are stating are openly highlighted in parliament and in the mainstream media. The first tentative step towards that is a general election.
Talking openly about having OCD has been a huge step in being my authentic self.
I have combined my passion for writing with a reckoning with my own past.
I am facing the trauma I have experienced, and becoming stronger in the process
@Britain_People
This dreadful individual being booted out of parliament along with his equally dreadful Tory colleagues would be rather uplifting to me
I want more people to know the truth about OCD
My novel, ‘Myself am Hell’, is inspired by my experiences of managing OCD
There is also fear in Afghanistan and intrigue in Tokyo
John Milton and Miles Davis provide the music

#mentalhealth
Coming to terms with the fact that our own minds lie to us was so important to me in my OCD treatment. Now I’m trying to be mindful of my ‘self-talk’ habits because I don’t want to be engaging in mental compulsions through habit
